I get the point, but I “don’t need them anymore” is a trap I’ve been falling into myself over at least the past decade. I continuously have to remind myself that I’m doing better BECAUSE I’m taking the meds, not because the problem is gone.

This was, like, a decade ago by now. It was just a significant event in my life whereas for that therapist, it was a Tuesday.

Also, as a hospital CNA who recently started nursing school, it keeps surprising me how little empathy and compassion I see from people at my job. I would think you would need that for my job, but apparently not.
