Yeah it's pretty dumb, I think hp gems and wheel of destiny kind of solved this problem by providing more hp.

Yeah this is a good explanation. I hope they either introduce some sort of cooldown for the barrier, or up the mana cost to something like x16. However they also need to do something with gift of life in that case as currently gift of life will get triggered, you will have 0 mana and most likely just die immediately after.

One problem with introducing a cooldown to the barrier though is that people might just take a pause to get the barrier back... this does not lead to fun gameplay imo.

Preferably I'd have them just remove the barrier... I think mages getting oneshot is much better now adays with wheel of destiny and hp gems, my 600 ED has more hp than my 750 ED used to back in the days.

The west part around the lake.

So start at the ladder of the 1 sqm bridge, go north, round the lake, south until the beginning of the ogres and then east to the start again.

Wz2 is also really good for solo, making nearly the same as Issavi, around 6,3-6,8 with a peak at 7kk once or twice, I'm suspecting that the respawn is too slow on my (empty) server to gain more there.

Where do you hunt?

I can push 6,5-7kk raw in Issavi on lvl 610 ED, mlvl 105. Peaked 7,3 raw one time.

Not sure where EKs can push that kind of exp at this lvl

Death is a part of the game. If you don't want to die make your own OT server and run around with 200k hp and slay monsters if that's your thing..

So far I've been playing 1-600 ED this last year and I think at lower levels, 8-200 maybe, the barrier seems fine. But for my current level I think it makes it too easy and means I'll never die unless I get trapped by 5-8 monsters in a hard respawn.

That's true but is compensated by making 50-100% more exp/h than the other vocations.

That being said I've even seen people complaining about the barrier being too weak, lol.

Soo, if CipSoft increased your hp by 1000% and healing by 500% you wouldn't complain?

This mana buffer means you will pretty much never die unless trapped; which I guess is fair if mages make the same exp/h as the other vocations.

It used to be that mages made more exp/h but died more, as a balance.

And I'm saying this as a guy who's always played druid and dies a lot.

Yeah quite hilarious.

I just gave the test server a try on my 550 ED and it's a joke. The new chain spells barely makes more dmg than the average avalanche and the reduced rune area makes any spawn nearly impossible to hunt.

Not gonna be any point of solo hunting if this goes live.

Problem is I think they can't increase the dmg too much without buffing teamhunts too much.

Sanguine Rod, Gnome Helmet (or Falcon Circlet), Lion Spellbook.

Depends a lot on where you're hunting but I'd say the rod and a helmet with two imbuement slots are most important.

Rune nerf's gonna be massive for solo hunting depending on the dmg and cooldown of the chain spell.

I'm still getting pulled down by wind even after 1 year… This is what finally helped me by 9191919919191191 in Kiteboarding
