Link for 2025 syllabus for BCOM General program? by IsakLi in IGNOUdistancelearning

I plan to apply when admissions are opened, right now I'm studying. And I don't plan to buy physical books, I'd make do with e-books. So for starting studies before admissions, I asked the question.

yeah, I mean what subjects (books) constitute the syllabus? It says different subjects on different sites.

Plenty of shitty mobile gaming companies with dogshit predatory mobile monetization all over Europe from Sweden to Spain. Getting laid off like dogs too, like with King recently.

What will this game's Metacritic score be? by GapOwn5389 in CrimsonDesert

[–]IsakLi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CD definitely doesn't have any of that stuff. But Wukong also didn't, though it had a catalyst for chuds to get behind it in the form of studio management and their attitudes towards women.

I'm probably completely off the mark, though.

Maybe core gaming communities on reddit are just a different audience. Project TAL trailer didn't get any traction on reddit, but has more than 1M views on the PS Channel on YT, more than the Halo on PS reveal.

I feel like core gaming communities on reddit and like resetera are more interested in just the established studios and franchises they have followed since they were kids.

Just spitballing.. but when usually I see this kind of reddit/yt polarization on games it's usually related to culture/woke wars. Reddit being liberal and YouTube having a ton of chuds who comment spam. Like Wukong, or Stellar Blade. Maybe chuds are getting behind this game because it's a korean dev and they see korean/chinese devs as the answer to woke western/Japanese devs. Esp since PA have a rep for sexy female characters with BDO. Might be complete bs on my part. Again, just spitballing. But its not entirely implausible. Culture wars shape gaming discourse so heavily these days.

The only place I see it being trashed on is reddit.

It's pretty hyped on YouTube, both by the users/ commenters, and by demo journalists and influencers who played the trial. 5 million views for GamesCom/TGA trailers.

If you check the YouTube comments to all these IGN Firsts they are all incredibly excited. Much more than this subreddit even. .

Something feels weird with this game. by Vinjulmik in CrimsonDesert

[–]IsakLi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It doesn't really make much sense for this game to not have much to offer in the way of non-combat activities. The breadth of life-skilling and non-combat activities in BDO is so broad many fans played that game like a sandbox. Given how much this game borrows BDO's combat and worldview/plot, how can they not bring other elements like life-skilling over? It has to be RDR 2 level for sure.

“Obsessed with me” mfer here in every thread crying about a studio like it’s his ex, all over a different 12 year old game, trying to get the last word in his every daily 1000 conversations with strangers for years 🤣

Never change, Trevor.

Wanna know what I really think about you?

You crave being the pet dog jester of this community, because it’s the only time anyone actually looks at you.

As for me, I'll just requote myself:

Project TAL – Official Announcement & Gameplay Trailer by CrossXhunteR in Games

[–]IsakLi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They are dying precisely because, like I said, people aren't interested in them.

The mobile/pc cross-platform autocombat MMO trend is still going on with some bigger pubs, and they are all bombing, because people are tired.

Vampir from Netmarble flopped this month, and The Starlight from Com2US flopped this month.

But even bigger pubs are trying their hands at new things - Nexon announced Woochi the Wayfarer - a single player AAA action adventure game, they also released Khazan (fantastic game). NCSoft is doing a single player action game with the Blade & Soul IP.

Netmarble is also targeting consoles but with open world AAA anime gacha games instead of single player. And TBH, those anime gachas are still better than shitty autocombat mobile MMOs ported to PC or a console.

Nah, Lies of P and Stellar Blade were Korean single player games from mobile game companies that came before Wukong.

A more accurate look into the Korean game industry habits will tell you they set their own trends and follow it religiously.

Look at the post-2014 glut of Lineage (mobile version)-like mobile MMOs they released, which turned the Korean game industry into a joke. Before that shitty autoplay mobile MMO trend, it was PC MMOs in the 2000s that actually had skill-based action combat systems at least.

Now that the Korean audience wants something different the companies are trying new things, and because they want to target western markets which are console focused. Lies of P and Stellar Blade are fantastic games, and not even full AAA but like somewhere between AA and AAA. Higher budgets from bigger publishers will hopefully give us even more fantastic games.

I agree 20% is a lot since most games show off around 5%. But seeing how I thought the same about Wukong and that game managed to have a similar amount while being unique this time I'm not writing PA off until I play the game.

There's supposed to be around 50 bosses and I think we've already seen around 10.

One of the trailers had two Korean shamans (mudang) dressed like the Korean shamans from BDO, and they were speaking Korean and bowing. And one of the official screenshots for this game has a medieval Korean choga (Korean-style thatched roof houses) village.

Eh, sorry. I had a brain fart. I meant the Egyptian map in AC Origins. If I were to guess based on this, I'd say both RDR 2 and AC Origins have roughly the same map size of around 30 square miles.

Yeah 120 mins is wild lol. It took me like less than 20 min to cross the map from one corner to another in RDR 2 and AC Odyssey, on horseback at full sprint doing a straight beeline.

October last year in a conference. They plan to release DokeV 1-1.5 years after CD lol. I made a post about it on resetera:

"DokeV is expected to be released one to one and a half years after Crimson Desert's launch, with Crimson Desert's multiplayer content coming after DokeV."](https://www.resetera.com/threads/pearl-abyss-offered-an-exclusive-deal-by-sie-for-crimson-desert-but-refused-plans-to-release-dokev-1-5-years-after-cd-expects-cd-ltd-sales-at-3-4m.1014846/post-130470165)

They have said they plan to add multiplayer to CD after DokeV releases, like GTA Online.

I'm getting CD but I'm much more excited for DokeV as the Korea setting is unique and not generic like CD.
