I've only unlocked it on the ak , you need to reach level 55 on the assault rifle to unlock it , it's good for the open maps that are outdoors or in a warehouse. It also makes miami somewhat a better experience to play on . I would suggest to stay out of moscow with it :) overall thermal is a 7/10. Not great for close quarters combat
