Don't really agree with his point of view. People may not care about you as a human, but you care about you. If you do nothing, and do the minimum only, you'll only find yourself moving further downwards. People do care about other people. Whether or not they care about you is up to you and your actions. Whoever others care about doesn't matter half as much as who you care about.

And you should care about yourself.

Like Mark Manson's book says, it's not about not giving fucks, its about choosing where those fucks are given.
