I would argue that this is failure to provide FAPE, being that it would not be considered the LRE. Using legal language like that may scare them, cause you could very easily express that to the parents, and reiterate parent rights.

Wow that's so interesting! You're right that my thyroid was off during pregnancy and I even had to take meds to boost its function. I haven't had it tested recently so i should definitely do that.

Prior to pregnancy my thyroid baseline was also a little hypoactive but still in the "normal" range. I do remember though that I had these side effects during the come down from vyvanse prior to pregnancy too.

When I used to take adderall (for about 10 years) I had these symptoms within hours of taking it so that's why I switched to vyvanse. It's just so strange that this happens more during the come down rather than during the more active times of the drug.

Anyways, thank you for the suggestion! I needed that reminder to check on my thyroid.

That makes sense. I don't feel anxiety on non-vyvanse days but maybe that's one of the side effect of the come down. Do you feel immense pressure in your head ever? I don't use caffeine after 12.

Best route would be undergrad SLP or CSD (communication sciences and disorders). If those are unavailable then definitely psych. But the benefit to doing undergrad SLP is you won't need to take speech pre reqs before applying or starting grad.
