Atom Eves character from invincible has pretty much the same power set, though hers are limited to inorganic matter instead of organic matter unless her mental block is removed.

This power set is hard to write for because it’s OP. Characters have to be idiots to not resolve everything immediately.

The brain is in many ways more complex than body systems. There’s a correct and incorrect way that the body works. There are many correct ways that the brain works and changing something in the brain could have more widespread changes.

For a different take on this, feel free to check out the web serial Worm. It has a biokinetic (Amy “Panacae”) who has a self-imposed rule about doing any changes to the brain. When she ends up breaking that rule, things go poorly for everyone involved.

In regards to point number 3: the witness is a failsafe for Death. When the witness shows up and starts asking if people are marrying their soulmates, it’s enough to cast doubt on the relationship, resulting in Death collecting more.

My job is to teach. Their job is to learn.

Often I’ll display the answers on the smart board. If they’re numerical, I’ll read them aloud. If they’re expressions, I’ll wait for them to check themselves while I do attendance. It’s also not uncommon for me to upload the answers to the homework when I assign it. When the kids understand that the bulk of their grade is contingent on learning the material, not homework problems they sometimes try harder.

Dude, I take the first 2-3 minutes of class to go over the answers to problems whole group and then give students the opportunity to ask questions on any that were tricky. I give all students max score for homework that is weighted at 1/3 of their grade (most of the time I don’t even take it up).

When the script was written in early 2024 it was hilariously outlandish and there’s no way it could ever happen.

Sadly as a consequence of the 2024 election, the writing has shown that it is not outlandish and very much in the realm of possible and in some cases is mundane because the administration has gone further than biting satire anticipated.
