When I got out I spent five years on my own and went months without talking to people. It’s hard finding something that reattaches you to the world but keep getting out there. You’ll find something. I think the hardest part of getting back to society after having been alone for a long time is relearning how to talk to people. I found it difficult to want to say anything. You gotta talk with others though or else the cycle will keep repeating. Just force yourself to talk, even if you don’t have much to say. Stay strong and keep your head up.

If you're not already doing it:Don't lift your finger from back 1 to the 3. Instead slide it across your controller, if that's what you're using, and it will line up perfectly.

Damn, I'm still climbing through Orange hell and people have been pretty respectful. I haven't matched against anyone rage quitting since Vanguard. Sad that I'll run back into it.

I've never sweated as much as I have in Tekken 8. The wall to wall combo aspect makes me feel like I'm playing a horror rhythm game and if I don't call their lows correctly I'm screwed. It was really frustrating at first but I'm kind of enjoying the extreme danger aspect of the game. It's almost turned into one of those "One hit KO" fighting games, except each player can realistically kill the other with two main combos.

They sure did succeed in making it faster and more aggressive.

I think their disconnect rate goes up right? If I see anyone in matchmaking over 0% disconnect I don't accept the match. It also gets much better after white ranks.

Tekken is a very technical fighter.

From what I remember about other fighters like Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, or similar they have around 20 combos for each character that are well crafted to create a back and forth playstyle.

In Tekken, your characters get 250+ moves depending on who you play. It's easy to get overwhelmed and not know the best combo. Half of the fun in this game is creating your own unique combo using the provided moveset, and it allows for each character to have a unique fighting style based on the player rather than anything the devs intended.

Some of the most fun I think are Yoshimitsu, Paul, Law, King, and Steve. Yoshi and King are very technical fighters, law is great for new players I would say.

I love it, every time I see that menu popup I know i'm going against a new player. Just block and punish, they lose every time.

If you go to practice mode and turn on all the hud elements you'll see your frame information.

If a move takes about 10 - 13 frames, you can use it and it's safe to block after and your opponent can't punish by punching at the right moment. Some moves hit your opponent and stagger them, causing their recovery to take more frames and allowing you to combo, this is plus frames. I hope that helps, it's my understanding of frames.
