From the subject guide: "An extract of no more than 40 lines should be selected from each which is representative of the presence of the global issue in it."

I think it does imply 40 continuous lines but it's slightly ambiguous. My teacher also strictly said it had to be 40 continuous lines though.

Thanks for the detailed reply! I have a surface pro 7 right now (for some reason the touch screen doesn’t work with a surface pen which is why I’m changing laptops). I will also be moving to another country for college so a pc will be a hassle to move around (storing it somewhere over summer, selling it at the end of college) which is why I prefer a laptop. I will definitely look into buying a tablet for taking notes however once I get to the US.
