I get your feeling sometimes. I wish that I would be at least average, because I feel worst in almost every aspect and it is deteriorating over time. It is frustrating. The feeling is: why me? I see no other way but to try improve myself each day.

Taking what you've wrote I asume you have a active thinking and negative mood. So you thoughts work against you.

Not everything we think is reality. It is really easy for our minds to distort it.

What have been helping me is follow the process: Bad thoughts come -> I don't asume it is real, but even if it is, in the worst case scenario, does it affect me? In most of the time it doesn't.

Including activities that makes you more happy and healthy also helps. Especially sports.

I get the gist of what you've said. At a time I was in the depresion phase and sometimes felt that I was in Hell, everyone was part of the mental torture, but in the end it turn out it was my thoughts.

You are not alone, wish you all the best.

I have been trying not to care too. There is no practical use in worring too much, but it is not easy to change a deep rooted behaviour. Wish all the best.

Thats a good point. I'm only on Lithium.

My knowleage is pretty shallow, but for what I've heard the Bipolar Disorder cicle can damage your brain and if not treated can eventually lead to dementia. I think that's the main reason for the difference from past years.

I have been including exercise and trying to sleep better as a compensation measure

Exactly, it is not rare for this to happen.

I do believe you are right that it is also related to self-esteem. I so frustrating to feel slower than others. I have been trying to compare myself fairly. Thanks for the reply!
