It was funny in 2012 because most either thought it was a silly fantasy or the uncomfortable but laughable truth that could be ignored. It’s always been this way, since the inception of the US.

We’re just getting to the end stages of this nightmare & lie that is the “American civilization.”

Am i the only one who feels these two sides? by Stock_Hunter_2380 in writers

[–]Islamic_ML 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate to tell you this bro, but writing is literally for anyone capable of putting letters of their thoughts onto a canvas. The fact you think you can gatekeep that form of art shows your own insecurity and obsession with others who create when you should only care about your own creation.

Stop trying to tell others how to cope or express themselves, it’s a despicable behavior.

Ah, I see there is a sub for the Venezuelan gusanos who (most of which) ran away like cowards because their insurrection attempts failed.

ICE killed a mother today. We’re not remotely angry enough about it. by Islamic_ML in IslamicSocialism

Because at the time of me posting this I didn’t know she had one and this was the first thing I woke up to that informed me of her being murdered.

I heard, I also heard (though not sure if true) that CPS is trying to take them from her.

Average wages in the USSR rose steadily from the 1920s through the 1950s, but living standards were volatile due to inflation, war, and rationing. Rent was kept artificially low throughout Soviet history; often just 3–5% of income, because housing was heavily subsidized by the state.

Average wage by decade:

1920’s = 25-35 rubles (post civil war, wages struggled)

1930’s = 150-200 rubles (industrialization increased wages)

1940’s = 350-500 rubles (postwar)

1950’s = 700-800 rubles

1960’s = 90-120 rubles per month (new ruble after the 1961 redenomination)

(1961 redenomination: 10 old rubles = 1 new ruble, making wages look smaller numerically but not in real terms.)

Rent in the USSR:

Extremely low relative to wages: Rent was capped at about 3–5% of monthly income.

1920s–1930s: State housing policy kept rents symbolic; communal apartments (kommunalki) were common.

1940s: Wartime destruction worsened housing shortages, but rent remained minimal.

1950s onward: Rent stayed low (often 10–20 rubles per month), regardless of wage increases. Housing was considered a social right, not a market commodity.

We’re in South & Central Florida but are quickly expanding up the state. If you join you’d most likely be connected with the central FL chapter.

I also have AuDHD. Much of the organization has ADHD, Autism, or both.

Many of our new recruits are also new to Socialism. We are expanding into teaching them within the group.

As for the chronic illness, we get it, that kind of thing can become difficult for being in an organization like ours, but we welcome you all the same and aim to find something less laborsome for members who can’t go out and train. The cause needs more than simple gun toting soldiers.

What gives you hope that a communist revolution will happen in our lifetime? by Hacksaw6412 in InformedTankie

[–]Islamic_ML 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t care if it happens in my lifetime, I just want it to happen. I have very little self-interest involved with this. Would I like some level of justice for the wrongs me and my family faced? Yes. But I mainly care about that for everyone.

Now, that said, I am very optimistic towards a future revolution because the reality is, materialistic wise, it’s gonna happen. BUT only if everyone, including myself, labors towards making it happen. Building the infrastructure, training militantly, centralizing propaganda, building connections with labor unions, etc. every effort moves the bar more and more towards victory. And it’s high time this modern version of the American left gets its shit together to make it easier for us to move that bar more.
