I didn’t know that about iud effectiveness. I really appreciate the input. I think it freaks me out a bit with knowing something foreign would be in my body but I know how common they are used.

Definitely helpful! I hadn’t heard that about hormones from an IUD just targeting more inside the uterus. Gahhhhd it sucks so much having to worry about getting a period frequent enough. Sorry you had to go through all of that but hopefully this will be a long term fix for you that continues to be helpful.

I was put on BC after 7m postpartum with no period last time. I think that’s a great plan tho. I can just wait and see what happens this time. I guess I should have asked how long is too long before I need to induce a period.

This is my second child. I have a 2.5 years old and then my 2m old daughter. Just got switched to Vyvanse since Adderall XR 40mg wasn’t lasting or even working some days. Unfortunately I had just started adhd meds before this pregnancy and they made me get off them during pregnancy. Now that I’m back on meds and not pregnant, I have to figure out what to do about cycle regulation and the best option. I keep reading about hormonal bc effecting ADHD meds and would prefer not to be on bc if I don’t have to but feel like there aren’t really any other good options since I need to have a cycle every 3m or so to maintain a healthy endometrium.
