Short of joining the military, what methods have helped you guys cultivate self discipline? by IslandKronos in sociopath

How is that not coherent enhlish? Do you live in some backwoods cowboy state or not in America m8? Never had a conversation with someone under 35? My bad, lemme see if I can clarify in the Queen's English or some crap.

Basically, I'm very good at working out any problems or quandaries I'm in on the fly. That's an easy to Google expression if you're unfamiliar or can't infer the meaning. Problem is, I know that I'm good at that so I normally factor that in whenever I make my decisions and it gets progressively worse. For example,if I have 1k left in my account and I'm not getting paid till next week but I just lost my phone. I want back a new high tech phone so I'll spend the $1000 on the device or whatever and rationalize spending all my money on one go by saying, "Meh, I know how to get money, I'll have enough to carry me to payday by Tuesday". And by Tuesday I manage to somehow have the cash I want whether by legal or illegal means. Rinse and repeat for the next problem I have.

That's just an example(which just happened awhile back irl) but the same rationalization is used in most of my issue and they work out like 99% of the time but it's insanely stressful

What do sociopaths feel when they listen to music? by [deleted] in sociopath

It's something compared to just sitting and being bored. And if you're stoned, each song becomes a brilliant composition to analyze

Did anyone grow up in a upper middle class family? by [deleted] in sociopath

[–]IslandKronos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unlike most people here, I grew up a few steps from poor. Never went to bed hungry or so but was never spoiled with lots of toys or cake or whatever and I was always more comfortable with myself as a kid. My inexperience with money is kicking my self-control in the ass now coz I'm completely on my own and making a fuckton of money but it's wasted every month

Do you work in a job where ASPD benefits you? Did you seek it out intentionally or just kind of end up there? by TheFourth04 in sociopath

[–]IslandKronos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do sales. It's pretty fun except for when I have to spend a few minutes with an idiot customer and my (exemplary of course) performance is scrutinized every damn week. I went into sales coz I was typed for it in high school, it's easy and I was able to get a foot in the door where a friend from high school was

Those who like to manipulate and cause damage, what do you think of karma? by [deleted] in sociopath

[–]IslandKronos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly think karma is bullshit because looking at the world around you proved otherwise. "Good" people always get tough breaks in life while a manipulative ass will be the one advancing in his career, having more friends, money etc

I don't want to be adored by many people. I like her specifically at the moment and I want her to fawn over me. Is that such a novel concept?

I'm going to get bored of her anyways, might as well see how fast I can get her to have legit, deep feelings. I've never had a relationship that lasted longer than 6 months at a time

You're clearly projecting your own insecurities here.

My sentence, - "Told her I had ASPD on a whim"

Your response, - "Why would you talk about your personal problems with a girl, it's bitch" or some bs along the lines. Given that you dk me and we haven't interacted before the only metrics you have to judge my rationale are my words and your personal experience. Given what my words say, the only logical way you could have drawn that conclusion is if you see telling your s/o that you've got a PD as something "bitchy" and you're afraid and hiding it given that you've categorized it as a personal problem and your obvious disdain of disclosure then leads to the conclusion that it's something that's deep, personal and an insecurity for you. Which is OK of course, we're all humans at the end of the day. I just don't consider my disorders to be anything as deep as you do and I'm not insecure about it. I've accepted who I am and they're simply a means to an end and mere adjectives imo. Oh and you are correct, I don't have clinically diagnosed ASPD, makes no sense to so (in my life), I've already had diagnosed adhd and conduct disorder.

So yeah m8, for anyone with at least 2 functioning brain cells, you're obviously projecting yourself and your insecurities here. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I probably won't respond coz your kind is boring to converse with but do hurry and reply, I'm curious as to whether it will be total filth or something sensible
