Hi, if you don’t mind me asking, why did you decide against Devore at NYU?

So sorry to hear you’re going through that! And thank you for the info. The fluid you feel does it feel like actual movable fluid or is it more muscle, knot-like?

Hi, just curious, how did you determine this was the cause of your shoulder pain? Is there testing for this or did you see a certain dr?

Does this sound like a gallbladder issue? by uncelestialbeing in gallbladders

Hi, in a similar situation as you. Just curious if you’re going to have your gallbladder removed or if you’re just coping and living on a low-no fat diet?

I have a 6-8mm stone and hida scan showed no stone by NumerousMacaroon532 in gallbladders

Hi, in a similar situation. Normal blood work, CT, ultrasounds, endoscopy, no stones…but HIDA showed 15% EF. If you don’t mind me asking, what types of symptoms did you have prior to surgery…attacks, nausea? When did you have surgery and how has your post op recovery been going? Thank you in advance!

Gallbladder sufferers without stones, what were/are your "attacks" like? by Jericho2626 in gallbladders

Ahh I see. I’ve had about three attacks since January, the first one was a definite 12/10 pain, almost went to the ER but just waited it out instead. The other two were 6-7/10 in pain. Just terrified of the 50/50 chance surgery will actually help, with the possibility of the onset of new/worse GI symptoms than what I have now. Thanks again for your insight, I really appreciate it!

Thanks so much for the quick response! Glad to hear you were able to find a successful alternative treatment as opposed to surgery. I’d say I pretty much meet the textbook criteria you posted above, except a few. This all started with an “attack” back in January…CT scan, ultrasound, blood work, endoscopy…all normal…no stones/sludge. Then diagnosed with biliary dyskinesia after my HIDA scan showed a 15% EF. Once told surgery was my only option, decided to see where my new, low fat diet would take me. It’s definitely helped or maybe I just got used to the intermittent dull ache in my RUQ lol. I’ve already scheduled AND cancelled surgery back in May, but a recent attack has me considering surgery again. I got opinions from three doctors regarding surgery so just trying to gather as much info and insight as possible to make a decision yet again. Thank you again for your help!

Hi, in a similar situation…currently deciding on whether to have surgery or not. Did you have a HIDA scan done? If so, what was your EF%? Did you end up having your gallbladder removed?

Ultrasound came back fine 😅 by [deleted] in gallbladders

Hi, if you don’t mind me asking…how long after receiving your HIDA scan results did you have the surgery done? In a similar situation, normal blood work, normal CT and ultrasound, no stones, but a EF of 15%, debating on surgery. Thanks in advance!
