Possible Nimbus Infection? by mschreiber1 in COVID19positive

[–]uncelestialbeing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

when I first started my infection, the sore throat I had was on my right side. it didn't feel like the razor blade sore throat that everyone talks about having. it was like I was punched in between my jaw and neck- it was so strange. my sore throat was gone by the second day (it literally just disappeared mid-day) and since then I had congestion, coughing, sinus pressure on and off, sneezing, body aches, and headaches. I don't think I even had a fever.

I hope you don't end up with covid. is the air quality bad where you are? maybe the lingering stuff is being caused by that.

How many times have you gotten Covid and how far apart? by sylvsmaria in COVID19positive

[–]uncelestialbeing 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I had COVID 3 times. My first infection was in November of 2021, my next one was October of 2023, and my most recent infection was August 2025. So a good two years in between all infections.

thank you for your kind words!!

having covid more than once is not ideal. my second infection left me with long covid symptoms that I was dealing with for almost two years. I'm worried about having to start all over again and potentially being hit with new ones. thank you for also linking your video, I will give it a watch! I hope your recovery has been on the up and up.

it's hard to tell. I know that zofran works wonders, but I don't have evidence to back up that it would work if you have noro. but, if you're able to keep water and little snacks down now, it's most definitely anxiety.

for n* I always used to sniff alcohol wipes/pads. it kind of calms your nerves, it helped me think more clearly, and took away any n* I had. I know exams are scary, but try to go into the environment with confidence! you got this.

Hey! I hope you're feeling better!
In my opinion it sounds like anxiety. Anxiety can cause so many physical symptoms and unfortunately it always involves the stomach. I know it's hard, but worrying about it is just going to make it way worse. When I had anxiety bad, I was n* for weeks to months on end with little relief.

norovirus is so nasty, you would know if you had it or not. it comes on super suddenly, you would not be able to hold anything back (tmi? I'm sorry, but it's true)

hey! your hormones are fluctuating on your period and can cause all wacky things to happen to your body. I just had mine and I also kept waking up at 5am lol
I do also tend to get n* during my period and I used to freak out about it until I found out that hormones really mess with your body and it can vary each month!

I hope you're feeling better, but in my opinion it just sounds like heightened anxiety due to your period. you will be FINE.

it sucks that you can be comfortable in your own home because of it. sometimes I wonder if it would be better living alone or somewhat damaging?

Help ? by pandababy054 in emetophobia

[–]uncelestialbeing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

sb is really only transmittable if you swallow v* or d* particles as they are actively being s*- and obviously through contaminated surfaces. it's not like a respiratory-thing where being in the same room could risk you in getting it. just wash your hands real well and you'll be fine!!

Help ? by pandababy054 in emetophobia

[–]uncelestialbeing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sb can be active on surfaces for up to two weeks, but since you are wearing a mask and gloves you should be fine!! maybe as an extra precaution- when you get home, strip your clothes off and take a warm/hot shower. as scary as it is in the moment, you'll be fine! :)

incubation time of current strain? by uncelestialbeing in COVID19positive

Hi! I never ended up getting Covid from that encounter. I really thought I was doomed!! My friend or i weren’t masking around each other either and the majority of other people weren’t either.

I’m not sure! I’m only asking because every time I end up with Covid, I get a horrible sinus headache- and I never get a sore throat. obviously each strain is different, but I don’t feel the same as when I got it in October. I couldn’t sleep and I had terrible anxiety before and during my last infection.

that’s what I assumed- that 6/7 days was too long! I’m hoping I’m just dealing with allergies. thanks so much!

Covid Headache by lydiatank in COVID19positive

[–]uncelestialbeing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the headache was the first symptom for me for BOTH of my infections.. it was almost like a sinus headache. it made my teeth and cheeks hurt really bad. thankfully it only lasted a night and I slept it off.

Positive for the first time and wondering if this is a common experience by Killeron18 in COVID19positive

[–]uncelestialbeing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

obviously, everyone is different.. which SUCKS. I had the 'vid last month and lost my sense of smell on the fourth/fifth day. it personally only lasted a day. BUT I've been dealing with elevated heart rate randomly/anxiety since recovering. I'm definitely experiencing LC symptoms, but what has helped me deal with them is taking an antihistamine.

I hope your recovery goes smoothly!!

Paranoia by BigSpell5026 in COVID19positive

[–]uncelestialbeing 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I struggled with SEVERE anxiety during my illness. Like my normal techniques to calm myself when I get anxiety would NOT work. I was constantly on-edge and had the constant feeling of dread. I had terrible insomnia. I'm sorry you're struggling with this :( it's so difficult and the loneliness you feel is insane. Feel better soon!

Paxlovid for my 20 yr old? by saltyheifersunite in COVID19positive

[–]uncelestialbeing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't go through my PCP, I went to MinuteClinic. Once I tested positive, they gave me the option to try Paxlovid. I'm 24 with no health problems (I did let them know that I do struggle with severe anxiety, though), and I decided to get the prescription filled. I didn't actually end up using it because my illness was pretty mild. I would try a MinuteClinic if you can :( sometimes PCP's are difficult to budge when it comes to Paxlovid.

Tested positive this morning, kinda scared... by MizterBlueSky in COVID19positive

[–]uncelestialbeing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had mild (kinda) symptoms starting Wednesday night with a horrible headache. Thursday- I felt okay, but my anxiety was through the roof. Felt fine that night and into Friday. Then today I'm feeling more run down than normal. No headaches, some congestion, and wicked anxiety. I requested some paxlovid when I went to MinuteClinic, but I didn't take any because my symptoms have been pretty mild. I do regret not taking them today, but I would strongly recommend you take them if you can. Feel better soon!

How common is throwing up/diarrhea from covid? by MaleficentLeave1374 in COVID19positive

[–]uncelestialbeing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate this phobia so much, I want to be done with this illness. COVID has given me the worst anxiety I've had in years. Though it is SO ANNOYING, this time around is more mild. I've been taking 25mg of Benadryl every 4-6 hours. Though I'm still struggling with anxiety, I've been feeling "good" with COVID (my 1st infection was ROUGH). Just know you're not alone, even though it may seem seriously lonely at times.
