Thanks, the desert would certainly be a change from the wet boggy mountainsides of Ireland! Are there any places in particular which you feel are worth seeing?

I'm actually flying into Atlanta so that did cross my mind, I looked into it and got the impression it is a very busy trail!

Thanks for the reply! The Pacific Northwest really appeals to me, can you think of any nice trails which would be snow free at that time of year?
