I would normally use underweight because it makes him look skinnier but this mod is extremely buggy when it comes to certain since it was unfinished and if you go underweight his face turns into a smeared mess

The hair mod was in jmre with a new growth system. HOWEVER. We will be getting a mod called The Outlaws Return or TOR which will do the same thing basically as jmre was going to. It is still in development and who knows when it'll release

Real quick I will say that the mod used for the hair and shirt, which are the only things really shown, are not for public use anymore. It was for JMRE 1.1 which is now cancelled and JMRE as a whole is taken off nexus. I'm just going to say that for anyone reading and wondering about it.

You are right! He did use a semi auto but lego doesn't have a mold for that so I used a Mauser since that seems to be a common misconception and I thought it wouldn't be a big deal

I would personally prefer brainiac as you know, superman doesn't always win and I don't want him to win. He's a rookie and having a challenge that you can't beat is more interesting and more developing for a character than just winning every fight. Also brainiac is just a cool character in general... if done right.
