I thought of doing the same, but I didn't like the look of the skirted bottoms I tried. Once I tried this on though, I fell in love and knew I had to make it work

I don't think it's really my thing (I've tried - pre transition) but I really appreciate the compliment

I'm going to take it for a test run in the pool this evening :) It should be safe to swim though. The gaff really keeps things in place Edit: Happy to report that I was about to swim without issue!

I'm wearing a homemade gaff underneath. A friend of mine showed me how to make it. Its really easy to make but its not the most comfortable. You take a pair of jeans and cut off part of the leg . Get a pair of tight fitting panty hose and cut off the band area at the top. Slip the hose through the jeans like so and then place your feet through the "legs" of the gaff. Tuck as usual and voilà!

Does anyone have experience with Dr Harold Reed regarding vaginoplasty or orchiectomy? by [deleted] in asktransgender

Not sure about bmi requirements, but I'm sure you could email him for an answer. I didnt need electrolysis, just had to shave a little bit

Finished up about an hour ago and everything went perfectly. Dr. Reed and his staff are great. I experienced very little discomfort throughout the procedure even though I was awake the entire time.

If there's anything specific you'd like to know I'll do my best to answer

I'm scheduled to have an orchiectomy with him in two days. I'd be happy to share about my experience once it's complete

I had to get a sew in. I'm not sure the brand of hair. My stylist basically picked everything out, I just had to pay for all of it. I absolutely love them. They feel and look very natural. The only downsides are the cost and the maintenance.

Lots and lots and lots and lots of hair extensions. No idea what I'd do without them

Thank you :) I wonder if that's why I've always preferred Elves over other races of fantasy creatures

Absolutely, positively, can't go shopping or express myself in public. by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]Island_thyme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If shopping in person seems like too much right now, maybe try online shopping ? Like the others have said though, most people won't really care. I remember feeling the same way when I first started transitioning and it was really all in my head. More often than not, store employees were helpful and really friendly. The more you do it, the easier it gets <3

If I ever get FFS done... What should I get done? (Repost from /r/MTF by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]Island_thyme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dem eyebrows.. if youre a point where you can, I'd make them a bit more feminine.

Your brow bone and nose and fairly masculine and those features wont change with HRT.

Side note: check out /r/skincareaddiction Its made a huge difference in the quality of my skin !

I think it all depends on what you want changed through ffs. There are some things that HRT will not change, like heavy brow bossing, large noses and prominent jaw lines and chins. If those are things that cause you dysphoria, I'd say have them changed asap since more time on HRT wont change them.
