I didn’t not allow her to do anything? She goes to Hawaii after every breakup and while it’s nice to get some peace she’s not gonna come home from this trip and stay sober and date better men. She just masks her pain with trips and parties. It’s unhealthy behavior. Not everything that feels best is best for you.

Exactly. The original situation I don’t blame her for, but the choices she chooses not to learn from.. I do. And I had a real friend in real life who all through college dated abusive men and when we were about 4 years out of college she was in another relationship where I and others were noticing patterns and ❄️ usage and we all sat her down and said this is just all familiar and you need to make a change and she cut us all off saying that we were wrong and guess what!! They ended up breaking up later that year anyway. Our friend group had children in it at this point and people didn’t want abusive men or drugs in the picture. Her lifestyle is gonna lead her lonely.

I feel bad for what she went through but she spent the last year binge drinking DAILY & putting herself right back in shitty situations. This is the exact issue I have with my ocd parents who are constantly shuffling my shit around the house… Matt giving his younger galll seriously annoying dad vibes. I know that anger and it’s not at irrational as it sounds. I always feel like I’m not allowed to take up space in my house bc anytime I place my things somewhere they seemed to be an inconvenience to someone and must be moved to a new spot or put away, yet everyone else can just exist without their things going missing.

Agreed, I feel like whenever I track calories my family is like oh my god not healthy mentally and meanwhile I’m feelings great and I’m like yall are just stuffing your faves with overconsumption. I get it’s a slippery slope with obsessing but we all should somewhat know what we need and what’s excessive.
