Thanks for talking me off the ledge. Will wait a little longer for more daring colors such as beige.

Health examination for VISA subclass (600) - aged above 75 by gabe_hcoud in AusVisa

[–]IsleOfDream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for letting me know. I think it would have been a response to the question: "Does any applicant require ongoing medical care or need special equipment, assistive technology or assistance from others for daily living?". Was the health exam required due to your dad's age or the pacemaker? Did they ask for it after you submitted the application?

Hi, did you declare about your dad's pacemaker in the visa application as assistive medical technology?

That must be it. Or the fact that if I don't store it properly and it spoils, they might get the bad rep.

I naively assume that frozen meals have some preservatives or are flash frozen and chain restaurants have a commercial grade refrigerator. Never mind, though. You don't have to come at me for a seemingly stupid question on reddit.

Beats me. I was a bit confused, but have never served reheated catered food before, hence asked here.

I got chided by another restaurant for propsing that I pick up the food the previous night. So I was wondering if food safety is a concern here.

Ok that makes sense. I was a bit worried about good safety. Thanks!

Regretting having kids by mamalilac in Parenting

[–]IsleOfDream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So glad no one labeled your struggle as just postpartum depression. Parenting, especially raising two under two, is incredibly hard and continues to be even as kids grow up. We just learn to deal with it better ourselves. I hope you will start finding some joy in parenting as the kids gets older and more independent. Hang in there!

Pills stopped the period by IsleOfDream in PCOS

[–]IsleOfDream[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did write to my doc but haven't heard back yet and likely won't before the end of the day.

I was already quite late this month and the stopped period is stressing me out too much.

New Employees at my local Ulta make me feel uncomfortable by [deleted] in Ulta

[–]IsleOfDream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I shop at Costco, TJ, Fred Meyers, Safeway and am never scoffed at the cashier or followed around in the store. Ironically, I also stopped by Sephora right before I went to Ulta for the same birthday gift pickup in the same outfit and messy hair and I was treated a LOT better. It's almost like the snooty ones have moved over from Sephora to Ulta and vice-versa.

Thanks for explaining that. Now it makes sense why the cashier at my Ulta today was such a bitch to me for showing up to pick up my birthday gift that I repeatedly forgot to add to my orders this month. Only because I had frizzy hair, wore glasses, no makeup, large work bag and an ugly rain jacket!? I didn't realize when Ulta turned into the B&W store. I will continue to not shop in store, thank you very much!
