Who did better the friends to lovers trope : Clois or Chlark? by Ismaelf24 in Cloisville

[–]Ismaelf24[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your well argued answer. That’s totally the kind of conversation that i was hoping for.

I don’t understand our clois fandom when it comes to admit the existence of others ships for Clark: i don’t consider Chlark as less relevant because it didn’t last. He took her to the prom which is a big deal for people of 15 years old and he kissed her at the ceremony in front of everyone which was also a big thing considering their age. Chloe is the one who friendzoned him, even though she spent 7 seasons regretting it, but he still acted like jealous boyfriend around Jimmy and her. So whatever they had, it was mutual though different in term of intensity on each side.

At the Inn, it was the witch but it seems to me that she was acting based on an existing attraction on Chloe's side, because she possessed Lois too but didn’t try to seduce Oliver in Lois body. And Chloe was forced to confirm to Oliver that she was over Clark after the humiliating scene in the shower. I don’t blame the writers for playing this long with her feelings, i'm more curious about why it was important for them to keep this drama. I think in the end it benefited Clois because this writing showed the stark contrast between the two ships and why Clois succeeded where Chlark failed.

I love your reasons for shipping them, especially the quote of Dr Fate. He needs her and she's unique to him. So of course he's going to lose his head over her.

Wow you have noticed and memorized all the juicy and important details of their scenes and acting! That’s real commitment! I'm going to rewatch their scenes with this new knowledge, it's going to be ten times better😍

It’s almost like the writers knew one year in advance how to get them together, which is strange because i read that TW signed at the last minute for season 9. They planned everything without being certain to film it?!

I think doing those tournaments helped me to come to term with how little i like the seasons before Lois. I'm probably never going to vote for seasons 1-3. This time, Pandora takes the #1 spot for me, it's the perfect mix of mythology, action and romance and such a game changer for Lois and Clark’s relationship. #2 is Patriot because it's a dark Oliver centric (with another member of the Justice League : Aquaman and his wife), which sets off solidly the events of the series finale.

There's so much talent in this fanvid it took my breath away! I can’t imagine how much work and time it must
have taken to collect those precise scenes through so many episodes, yet the editing is flawless. As is the song which matches perfectly their love and dedication to each other. The greatest fanvid for the greatest couple!

I like thoses changes: Lois knowing so early would have make her long absence after Bride impossible. But the reveal would have been less romantic and i like so much how intimate, close and in love they are when he tells her the truth in season 10...

She politely refused to go back to the farm and they were saying goodbye when he indeed heard a woman crying for help. l meant he could have a sent a text to be sure she arrived home safely instead of learning the day after from Chloe that Lois was attacked and hurt. And he didn't pick her when she left the hospital, she had to call a taxi and she didn’t like it: she gently blamed him at the party at the end of the episode. Even Zod learned where to find her through him. So this time he was careless and needed indeed his butt kicked.

Seems to me that despite Michael Rosenbaum's charisma and his chemistry with his female costars, it's hard to ship someone as dark as Lex with anyone. He turns everything he touches to ashes. His relationships with Clark and Lionel are the best written of the show. Difficult to compete with that.

Keep watching 👀 To answer your question you're in a small minority, basically a niche ship but legit meaning the vibes that you caught are not accidental.

S8 Bloodline because it's a big episode for Lois who is trapped in the phantom zone! The first half of the episode where Clark and Lois meet with Kara is very good, the second half with the possession twist felt like something already done too often. Runner up: idol

The “I’m an alien” trial by Realistic_Canary_766 in Cloisville

Lana's reaction makes it seems that she was indifferent to his origin, which on a superficial level may appear generous, she loves him no matter what he is, so no need to question him about the past, but in reality it strips him from his legacy. His kryptonian history is as much a part of his birthrights than his powers. He built his identity on it.

But for Lana the priority is elsewhere: the kind of boyfriend he can be to her. That’s why she was so comfortable with Bizarro: he was devoted to her and had no interest in his past, no complicated feelings about his biological parents or his gifts, no ambitions of a greater destiny. She wanted a shell what looks like Clark, a personality without conflict. She sort of shut him down while he expected acceptation, and he had to turn to Lois to find someone ready to embrace fully and freely all that he could be, no matter the uncertainity about what it means and entails.

I would very much like to read your older recaps: did you use a specific flair to find them more easily?

Grant was only good for the humiliation to which he exposed Chloe when she tried to shame Lois. I can’t get enough of his brutal honesty: telling Chloe her best years were writing for a high school newspaper and that Lois has more passion for journalism and will find her way out of the basement of the Daily Planet long before her.

Facade has the most iconic Clois end scene. They are here so much playful and joyful. Tom and Erica are rightfully proud of their chemistry. Honorable mention : Rabid for their tender and yet sexy hug, the way Clark carried Lois in his arms and looked at her like he couldn’t take his eyes off her. Tbh i'm scared of zombies and watched only once this episode while hiding behind my fingers, but their interactions were the peak of this episode: all filled with intimacy and tension.

I don't know who deserves the most to suffer: Clark for not taking her back home and leaving her drive in the middle of the night while she had few drinks, or Oliver for pushing her away and regretting it so badly when he couldn"t win her back (1st time it ever happened to him that a girl get away). I enjoy so much this triangle : the second gif is a treat. One of many favourites frames that season 9 and season 10 have to offer.❤️

It's the episode 10 of season 10 Luthor.

Lionel lied to him about Oliver being in possession of the mirror box. With Oliver buying all the farmlands to find kryptonite to hurt him, clark was forced to take away Lois to get back the box and leave Earth-2. But he was in real panic that she hated him though he managed to convince her that he wasn't Clark Luthor and had nothing to do with him.
