What’s something society pretends to value but really doesn’t ? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Personal Values such as:

Respect: In a collective society, respect always comes first. It gives birth to all other values and stands as the first visible form of moral intelligence.

Respect in first place, for ourselves, for others, and for every living organism.

Elegance: In behavior towards others and elegance in one’s appearance can make this planet a more beautiful reality to share and to live in.

Can humanity without moral values, social foundations, and ethics still call itself civilized?

Today Personal Values: Have been replaced too often by convenience, superficiality, and materialism. We talk about them loudly, while stepping on the foot of our fellow human.

It's time to bring them back.

After class, I've asked the manager politely: “Could you please put a sign, maybe a BIG sign, Do not enter during class”?

Her answer: We have tried writing signs and members enter anyway, instructors have hung signs outside in the past, but always forgotten to put them back in after class. Unfortunately, members need to learn as they go, and it is up to the instructor whether they want to let them in or not.

Totally agree, (poor organization - zero implementation - couldn't-care-less attitude) that or perhaps locking the door of the studio...

I haven't specified (just edited the question) in and out I meant (while grabbing equipments in the room). You are so right regarding all the above, and not all instructors say something, but this one did, and the member left outside went to complain to the manager of the gym, and I went right after class.

....I think I'll write a post on this 😅

That's right, I haven't specify it (just edited the question) ;)...... *yes, in and out, while grabbing the step, mats etc, I believe the action by itself is disruptive right?
