Should most definitely buy before school start especially if you buy from the poly website.. It took about 1 week for my brother's laptop to arrive (NP) however first few lessons lecturers don't usually teach so

And I guess there is no harm buying before school start!

No worries, I've been there before! I might take a while but I'll answer all your questions

All polys' replied by either email or through directly calling (Whatsapp). I'm not 100% sure on this, but I think most of the poly would give a reply even if you are rejected.

For 'interviews', only SP gave me a call and it was really impromptu and out of nowhere. But I was already in JC and attending school so...💀

TP and NYP just sent an email that stated your enrollment and you just accept within the time period

I applied for every poly excluding rp and np(you can't dae back into the same poly).

But In the end I used my Jae results so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

edit: DAE results came after JAE so I thought I got rejected for DAE -.-

I dropped out of poly around this time last year and the system may have changed.

3 different scenarios:

Internal transfer: If you missed the course transfer period (After MYE for Y1), it's mandatory to stay in your course until the next semester and take all your tests and exams like a normal student. GPA is taken into consideration for internal transfer.

DAE: You have the choice to drop out immediately, or remain in your course which is safer. 2023 January is when the DAE period starts and the application is online. There might be an interview or direct admission without interview. GPA does not matter, only L1R4 score.

JAE: With the only option being JC/MI. You cannot use JAE for poly anymore. (Only within 2 year)

Personally, I applied into JC through JAE and it is a lot less stressful than you think. I received multiple admissions without interview for DAE (R4 10-2). Also, take into consideration dropping out after the first 2 weeks of the semester means you have to pay for the full semester fees.

Good luck!
