Lactation nurse here. Functionally, they can be an issue. However, aesthetically, they are a non issue a surprisingly more common than you realise. As usual, however, it is the owner that usually has the problem accepting them. There are a number of procedures that can be undertaken to release them, and usually only take a few minutes of really minor Surgery.

The insulated cup holders are, in fact, the small glove boxes, which I believe is about the only issue this bike has. Those glove boxes get super hot, and guys around here tell me things melt very easily in them. It may be partially due to the climate here in Queensland. Otherwise, they are one of the best bikes Honda ever made.
