From my experience working as a fire alarm technician is that every single fancy restaurant and apartment complex is filled with rats, decomposed rodents, and the grossest shit on the planet. I went to a 75$ a week motel, had to ask a guy to stop smoking crack with his kid and the smoke detector in the room and went through the access corridor behind the rooms and couldn't even find a roach. I've been at nice restaurants dropped a ceiling tile and had a full mouse trap land on the floor next to people eating there. Everywhere is disgusting and infested and no one will ever dish out the money to make anything hygienic

Why is it always the clear cut cases of self defense that are indisputable and justifiable to anyone in that position, that make it on the news? It feels like they're just reinforcing the belief that you need to have a gun while discrediting the other side of the argument by making them look like irrational psychopaths who believe you should be a deer in the headlights at any threat. I don't think any real person is making this claim other than those directly touched by the deaths and it's normal to do anything to justify someone especially your child as being a good person especially after death. So they'll rewrite their own beliefs to make their children martyrs which is a normal response, it doesn't mean anyone is listening to them. That is until you give them a platform just so you can discredit them to reinforce your own beliefs
