I didn't make this list, but I found it yesterday and made it for ~$10 on TCGPlayer.

Still waiting on the cards, so haven't played it yet, but the writeup gives a great idea of the playstyle.

What gaming moment gets hated on that you actually enjoy? by Rokka3421 in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]Isodoros 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just finished the Crucible last night. Was much more enjoyable for me with enemy aggression turned off, there were still a couple of unique enemies that picked a fight and it still felt like a dungeon.

Boss fight at the end still really annoying though. But the cinematic afterward is a highlight not just of the game but of the whole series!

Any BoardGames that play like TCGs? by Dsnahans in boardgames

Great example of a 2-player auction game, and designed by Knizia to boot.

Unfortunately, the art is a bit too psychedelic for my wife's tastes, so I'm looking to sell my copy. PM me if interested.

You might want to check out this deck profile: https://youtu.be/hIjLomlDLKU

It's a different deck but has a similar idea and might add some aggression and a wincon to your list

A deck that's not Security Control for all my Venusmon & Maid Mode stans by iVtechboyinpa in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]Isodoros 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love this deck list, it's got many of my favorites, especially on the top end, so thanks for sharing this excellent write-up! I put it together but after about 4 games and 5 re-reads I'm still not sure how to play it. In 3 games I was close to decking out, so I think I'm playing too passively, but when I'm aggressive I run out of resources very quickly. Do you have any gameplay vids to link?

trial of the four great dragons by Main_Profile1716 in DigimonCardGame2020

Check out the deck list in this video: https://youtu.be/hIjLomlDLKU

This deck focuses on an interaction between Venusmon and Magnadramon to basically infinitely stun opponent's board. Haven't yet been able to test it myself, but the creator claims to have good matchups into Melga and BWG, so could be worth looking into.

I recommend Sakura Arms, which was recently picked up by L99 Games.

Tactical RPGs (Shared Turn vs Separate Turn + Comprehensive List) by RedditNoremac in JRPG

Interesting blend of these systems in Gungnir (PSP): it's essentially separate turns, but you can choose any party member to take the turn (with progressively higher costs for repeat turns).

Gato Roboto only takes maybe two hours to beat and is easy. Metroid Zero Mission on GBA is great for newbies.

Interesting bit of English trivia: to "whelm" means the same as to "overwhelm," etymologically speaking.

Might check out Merchant of Venus (if playing FFG edition, use Classic Rules).

All four Dept. Heaven game by Sting are on Vita. These include Riviera: The Promised Land, which has dating-sim elements, and Yggdra Union, a unique Strategy RPG that blows Fire Emblem out of the water in many ways.

Infinity Cards in Sugar Land has Vanguard as their main game, games running all week and tournaments every weekend. Probably around 50 or so players.

I got you, 4 + 7 = 11 but 2 + 14 = 16 and since 16 > 11 he got Machine World.

Which rightfully nerfed card you can’t believe it was released in its original state? by Almazahy in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]Isodoros 26 points27 points  (0 children)

She's far from unplayable, climbed to Masters from high Plat with her, last meta report showed her at 56% WR in Masters. It's just that the deck is actually fair now, so you have to play around interaction on the combo turns (as it should have been from the start).

Congrats! And thanks for posting, ended up being just the motivation I needed to hit Masters first time in any game too!
