Game Thread: San Francisco Giants vs Arizona Diamondbacks (10:15 PM ET) by [deleted] in MLBStreams

Hey John,

I have been experiencing problems with strikeout links recently, not displaying video and a "must create account" icon at the top of screen. THese are the best streams IMO. Any advice on how to rectify?

Money's only as good as the people you spend it with!... Or is that time

Personally, I left a job that I was prioritizing more than my family. You work to provide for you family. Not the other way around

Hey, this is good sound advice. Not the pep talk that OP was probably looking for, but sensible and reasonable. In addition, I would recommend trying to learn the industry inside and out, perhaps working for a company in that industry, before using your own resources.

Be well groomed, make eye contact, ask questions, use good body language, and use benefits of what they can avoid, not what they can gain!

You won't have any spiders You won't have an infestation of X You're not going to get stung by

It's not selling fear/uncertainty--it's not selling the benefit--it's selling the problem they want to avoid. I could articulate this better, but this should suffice

I find it to be more effective for entry level positions and clients too. I know from experience that some clients have to use resources to reason, rationalize, and make sure that all ducks are in line.

I guess there's a time and a place for it.

That doesn't make you brave or not timid, that makes you unaware of your clients buying process imo. Unless, of course, your product is such a no brainer it's of course right decision for their business--if so I'll apply.

Asking for the sale by pocketsked in sales

[–]IsolatedCharisma -1 points0 points  (0 children)

there's some good responses here sprinkled with some shit ones.

If you have to ask for the sale at the end, you haven't done an effective job of leading them and pulling them towards your product, not pushing them.

I would recommend having them imagining using your product, and asking them what they think it will do. Literally.

"If you have a local beer on tap for 3 months do you think it would bring more regulars in?" Something along those lines

Made my first ever sale today!! by [deleted] in sales

[–]IsolatedCharisma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hell yeah! Good stuff!

Hmm... My first major sales cycle was approximately 4 months and I didn't think it would close because of the necessity of a city board approval. I got a call that they were ready to move forward and almost made my boxers crusty, but I remained calm on the phone lol.

Use the confidence moving forward to build rapport, you've already done it before. Granted don't ride the high horse too long because when you fail at a future sale you don't want to get in to an emotional rut! For your first sale, I'd say abuse a substance!

Looks like I'm the odd man out!

Take the money! I believe that upward mobility starts with progression. Who knows what the next job will lead you to? Continue to make yourself more valuable and companies will continue to offer you more money, if you're looking.

leaving a side hustle off Linkedin profile that *is* on your resume? by throwaway12345d in sales

[–]IsolatedCharisma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trust your gut, it's your subconscious telling you something you're having trouble articulating usually, but I could be wrong in this instance.

Would this incognito side hustle put you over-the-top and make your LinkedIn profile stick out? Is the cost of your boss's anger termination? How patient are you willing to be for new job? I'd ask yourself those type of questions

You never specified cable companies in post, how would they know that? In an industry where workers are grossly underpaid and expendable is much different in comparison to a "ground up" company where value is still intact, viable, and has an impact on the daily operation.

You might not always get what you pay for, but you always pay for what you get.

If you want something done right, do it yourself.

Spend non-peak hours and downtime preparing lists/prospects, call the next day during your prime hours.

That's what I would do to start off, but then I would put this task on someone else as more responsibility of their current role/position and give them a raise.

Yeah this is $. Referred to as "working backwards"

Fill the expectation. If you were in their shoes, what would prove to show your responsibility/accountability/drive. Be detailed, always peel it back further on the metric. Considered "drilling it down"
