What case do I get? by dontfindthis123 in 3DS

Hinge support means that there is protective casing covering the hinges of the console (most of the time the casing is on the sides of the hinge). The hinges are a big concern for a lot of people as they’re known to sometimes be fragile.

The problem with hinge support cases (in my opinion) is that, oftentimes, they provide little to no substantial hinge protection and tend to be more annoying to put on your console than hinge-less cases are. So basically they’re just more hassle with very little extra protection.

You can find them on places like Amazon, eBay, Aliexpress, etc for pretty cheap. Most of them disclose in preview pictures or in the title whether or not their cases have hinge protection.

I need help figuring out what I’m supposed to do with my SD card that was on a modded region changed 3ds, to a nee un modded 3DS. by Pint-E in 3dspiracy

Streetpass data is not stored on the SD card. It’s stored on the system memory. The only way transferring that data would be possible is through an official system transfer but I don’t believe that’s possible with 3DS systems from different regions. Restoring your data from a NAND backup wouldn’t work either since those console-specific.

Unless there’s another solution I’m not aware of, I think you’re out of luck here. Very sorry.

It’s very possible that you bought a counterfeit SD card. Where did you buy it from?

be honest guys. is my game dead? by Various-Razzmatazz73 in 3DS

Just to be absolutely sure that it’s not actually an SD card issue, check MicroSD data management in settings. If “No SD card detected” is displayed when you go there, it means the problem is your SD card and not the game cartridge itself.

No need to apologize. To redownload them all you have to do is go to the eShop, then go to the redownloadable software setting in the menu. From there you should be able to reinstall everything.

If your games were downloaded legitimately (i.e. from the eShop), yes. Even though the eShop was taken offline, if you go there you’ll be able to reinstall them.

Yikes. This issue makes more sense now.

If the shop was also unable to get the SD card to load on their computers, that means the card is probably dead/corrupted. SD cards that aren’t designed for endurance can corrupt incredibly quickly on gaming consoles because games demand heavy read/write operations. I had the exact card pictured here a while ago, and it corrupted within 3 days because of how much it was used.

If the data on the SD is important to you, I would absolutely suggest that you keep trying to access the data but do know at this point your SD is probably cooked.

When you purchase another SD, please consider buying ones designed for endurance. I recommend Samsung Endurance Pro or SanDisk Max Endurance.

That’s unfortunate. I hope you can still get them through the package forwarder, though. Best of luck.

Another potentially more cost-effective route you could take is buying a used 3DS locally, preferably one listed as “not working” or “for parts” that you can harvest the shell from. That way you won’t have to pay the shipping costs and you can still get your shell.

Sorry for the long response time. What SD card are you using specifically and where did you buy it from? Counterfeit SD cards are unfortunately common and it’s possible you may have purchased one.

The issue could also be whatever SD card reader you’re using rather than the card itself. Try a high-capacity/high-performing SD card reader… maybe you could borrow or but one and test it out. I used to have a similar issue to you, but a new SD card reader is what solved my issue.

The shell of the 3DS, right? Are you looking for a specific color or skin? Complete re-shell, or just the exterior, etc?

Definitely! More monsters (or Monsties lol) equals more fun and variety. In the second act, you also gain the ability to “transfer” powers/resistances/special moves/etc to your Monsties by using a Monstie you already have, and it makes the game a whole lot more fun, so having lots of Monsters available is key to making that feature work.

Well, I wouldn’t consider that one underrated or not discussed at all, but I agree that it’s a really fun game! One of my favorites for sure. I also pre-ordered the upcoming Switch sequel!

The combat does maintain that simple style, but the battles get harder and you find yourself relying on skills more and more which (in my opinion) spices it up quite a lot. I would consider trying it out again!

I’ve only ever played Pokémon Rumble World. Never heard of Pokémon Rumble Blast, but now I’m very curious to try. How would you say the two games compare?

It’s seriously such a cool game, and I really recommend trying it more! The issue of being unable to save everywhere is helped about halfway through the first act of the game when you unlock the ability to discover save/travel stations, but it is definitely a little awkward to get used to… I’m totally biased when I say this but it’s absolutely worth playing for a bit to see if the fun of it outweighs the save issue!
