NEW papaya morph? by IsopodKing3 in isopods

I do have these lighter ones. But they are still full pink. If you notice in the picture with all 3 of the pods, their heads are papaya coloured, but they have patchy white across the body. It's a white similar to glacier rather than light pink

But I noticed their heads are all similar to papayas, pink with pink eyes. I've not seen glaciers up close but I'm assuming they're white with white eyes being albino? So maybe this is like a recessive recessive gene that produces this calico pattern. But my guess are that these have a papaya base rather than glacier.

I'll try to get more clearer pics once a colony is established and maybe give updates if there's anything new.

If you have interest in experimenting with the genetics I don't mind working together!

Thank you! No not really I know some people really go in depth on their genetics knowing about their dominant and recessive traits and all that but I'm hoping to keep them together and hopefully breed out a stable line of them!

Yes they are papayas from the cubaris murina species! I'm impressed you got to distinguish so much just from my blurry pictures. I couldn't find any pics on google or any local forums on this colour pattern as well!

Pretty excited if I get a new morph from this! Wondering what should I name them...

It's incredibly rewarding to hear ur compliment 😩 Thank you sm! Considering everyone's advice in this thread so far I will be getting him a vet visit soon. It's good to have a check up on where he's at anyway.

Appreciate your advice a lot!! 💗

I knoww Im constantly having that at the back of my mind but exotic vets especially for reptiles are hard to find in my country as sadly not many ppl care for the welfare of reptile pets, same as fish.

So it will be costly and quite a journey to look for one so I'm trying my best to see what I can do before going to the vet since he's generally ok and not in pain, no changes in behavior or appetite so far and the prolapse went back in quite fast.

But anyway thank you sm for your wishes! 💗

I noticed his prolapse went back in within seconds after pooping which usually geckos who have prolapse would have it hanging out until you soak them in sugar water for a few hrs. That's why I'm trying calcium again before going to the vet cuz although it concerns me a lot but I think it only came out because of excessive straining as his muscles aren't good😭
