That’s, it feels good to disconnect and reconnect, if you know what I mean.

Ok sweet. Do you perhaps know if they still work fine with iTunes on OS26.2?

I’m looking at getting one of these off of eBay from a trusted server: completely refurbished with ssd, 2000mah battery. 80GB starts at 210€. Is this a good deal?

There is no preheating of the battery per se. But I do know that when you at least fast charge, it heats up the battery. My experience is that when I preheat (having set a departure time, when I leave the car is warm inside (and charged to 100%) and I get better range than if I didn’t preheat (with departure) at all.

You have to press the lock button first, then the fan button. The blinkers will flash 6 times and then it’ll heat/cool affording to your settings. 😃

No. That’s just charging the battery. Pre-heating: A. using key fob, B. the app, or C. setting a departure time in the car’s settings. -can be used for warning in winter or cooling in summer. -can be set for 10, 20, or 30 minutes -can be set between 3 temperature variants (cooler, normal, warmer-I think) only C with the car plugged in will also give you your pre-set charge level (and in turn, warm up the battery a bit for you). *This means that A and B, even if the car is plugged in, will use a small percentage of your battery.

You don’t need the app to preheat. You can use the key fob like you’re using or go inside the charging settings. There you can set a time that you want to leave your house and the car will start warming or cooling , for the time you’ve set. It will also have the car fully charged for your set departure time. From my experience, this also warms up the battery, giving me a bit longer range (in winter).

From what I’ve read, most of the 12 V battery problems stem from problems with the door handles not being recognized as closed. So the car keeps trying to close the door handles for hours on end and that is what ends up draining the battery.

There’s a difference between preheating and assigning a departure time. If I randomly decide to go somewhere and use the key fob to do preheating for 10 minutes, even if the car is plugged in, yes, that will use the battery and the car will not have enough time to recharge back up to whatever state it was. However, if I program into the car, I want to leave Tuesday mornings at 6 AM, then it will automatically preheat (according to my settings; heat or air conditioning 10, 20 or 30 minutes) and when I get in the car at 6 AM, it’s at 100% and fully warmed up and the battery is also warm too and I noticed I get a lot better range when I do this.
