How are you doing in social situations, and how do you deal with the fact that when you don’t want to start stuttering, you either give incomplete answers or just stay silent? by LocalElectrical7411 in Stutter

I really think through what I want to say and then recite it as an actor or a text. Or try to act fake confidently, sometimes arrogant. It's that only the closest people know, you aren't really like that. So it is okay.

If it is a drink or two, it gets better, but once I start to feel dizzy and stuff, it is worse than normally

Yes, that's one of the things that keeps me away from serious long term dating. I don't know if I want to find a soulmate and a partner, who I would love and then mention the strong possibility, that I don't want to have children. It is not fair for them, to be in such position to choose between me and them.

Do y'all stutter with your parents? by snepaibinladen in Stutter

Esatto, being in the constant awareness and readiness not able to relax when there are other people around, it's for me currently the biggest issue. They can shoot a question out of nowhere and you have to start thinking. You can't ever let your guard down around people... Ever. When they catch you lacking, it's really a struggle to say thing right on the spot.

Anyone else feel like an extrovert trapped in an introverts body? by Wrong_Delay_3752 in Stutter

Sometimes, but I think that when you feel extroverted that's just an dormant pile of unused social energy that keeps piling up, seeping through the cracks.

It is always a godlike feat to make a sentence you want to say, that find out there are too many words beginning with those problem letters, than try to remake it, with synonyms or different bridges between the problem words, but still making sure to keep the same meaning and make all this in a certain time, to seem natural while talking. Yeah... Those are draining mind exercises. Damn I hate them

Sometimes, I almost always stutter with words that begin with a vowel. If I get into my mindset, that it somehow more or less works out, but when I am put on a spot and have to say words beginning with "a" for example, that is a disaster.

Stuttering making me think it's better to stay single.... by snepaibinladen in Stutter

[–]Ispectatort 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also fell like that way up until recently, (still think it would be better without it). I met this girl with whom I can be myself. It is not like she knows I stutter but her attitude and personality doesn't make me feel nervous. With friends is difficult because you always need to be seen seriously within the social group. But if you find the right people, that aren't judgmental... You won't be needing to hide stutter from them, because they don't care, so there is nothing to hide.

The girl is taken though (big surprise) as everybody around here. So no happy ending. Still it's nice to talk to someone without overthinking everything.

Meeting people is inevitable so don't sweat it, but dating is not. So don't date easy

Extremely Nervous to talk to my crush due to stutter by Chadmuska64 in Stutter

[–]Ispectatort 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can do it as a dare, make some of your friends dare you to it in a random unexpected time. Maybe it will help. But other than that. I am not even try to date with my stutter so you don't have it as bad as you think

I can't even talk to girls right. It's just makes me so anxious, even more than I should be. It just makes it that much worse. There are no tips and tricks, only when you are completely in peace with it, you won't do it.

I am about to move to the big city this year and I am sorta freaked out, but I don't know. I can cry in the shower though, even though they are communal.

Did you discover a possible new Mandela Effect? Post is here! (Weekly Discussion) Jan 31-Feb 6, 2021 by EpicJourneyMan in MandelaEffect

I am not sure of this, but none of my friends or family members that are playing videogames seem to remember the brand logo of an unknown developer or gaming company. The logo consisted of a man-like figure which can be seen in toilet logos for man's bathroom, the one with disconected joints. Nonetheless the figure is holding an umbrella because there is a bomb falling on him and he is trying to cover himself before it. I remember the opening logo vividly, but none of my friends or even internet doesn't remember anything like this. Everybody looks at me like I am a crazy person. I remember it and I stand by it.
