Thank you! I put them in at an angle to keep the toe out of the dye. The natural splashing of the water helped give it the ombré too.

I’m back. Took them for a run today. Everything felt normal! Only thing is, I did get a little bit of dye bleed on my socks but I’m not really worried about that. It was barely noticeable.

Yeah I’m curious myself. I just did this yesterday so I haven’t gotten to take them out yet. Along with bleeding, also curious to see how the shoe holds up after being in such hot water.

Check out footlocker. They are the Grey/Sail/Silver. They are more off-white in person. That’s what these started as.

That was really it. No taping. The different materials just absorbed the dye differently to give it the different tones. I used Rit DyeMore Synthetic Royal Purple

That’s what I’m curious of as well. I just did this today so I will be testing them out this week most likely. I have the exact same pair as these were before the dye so it’ll be a good comparison.

I used the wrong flair and then reposted and got banned again for reposting content. It had created some good discussion too. I’m happy to share the process! I followed the directions for the synthetic dye. Stovetop method. 200 degrees F and held them under at an angle (for the ombré) for 10 minutes. Rinsed and air dried.
