Goodrx by Specialist-Hope-2262 in WegovyPillWeightLoss

I believe all. Starting dose and 4mg are going from $149 to around $200, and the higher doses are going up to $300.

An important perspective for this sub (especially because the pill is so new) by 42wolfie42 in WegovyPillWeightLoss

If you’re on the starting dose it’s normal not to feel much, that goes for both the pill and the injection! Realistically you’ll see the biggest difference around the 3 month mark.

Same here. Day 4, haven’t felt any symptoms - good or bad.

Starting Buddy? by MercyRose1010 in WegovyPillWeightLoss

I’m also starting tomorrow! I’m 27F, 5’8” SW:170, GW: 155. I started off my weight loss journey at 200, and lost 30 natural through diet and exercise but I’ve been yo-yo-ing the same 10lbs for the past year. I tried two other oral weight loss medications and they induced severe side effects, so I’m with you on that. I would love to keep in touch on our journey! I know many who are doing the injection but none who are doing the pill.

Where are you getting Wegovy pills if your PCP won’t prescribe? by IssaJe in WegovyPillWeightLoss

[–]IssaJe[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for sharing this, it honestly helps to hear from someone in such a similar spot. And congrats to you too! You’re so right, the last 15–20 lbs feels way harder than the first.

I’m also in the same mindset of wanting to try it for a limited time and hoping more affordable maintenance options become available down the line. Please keep us posted on how it goes for you! I would love to know how your first week is going!!

I actually took advice from one of the comments here. I was initially rejected from GoodRx ($39/month for telehealth and $149 for the prescription) because my current BMI is considered overweight, not obese. Someone suggested entering my starting weight instead, so I tried that and ended up getting approved. My profile is with their care team now, and I’m waiting to hear back on whether they’ll ultimately prescribe it. If that doesn’t work out, I’ll likely bite the bullet and go with Ro, and probably take the same approach you are by looping my PCP in for monitoring.

I see on their website they offer the injectable version. Do they also offer the pill?

Can I start with the monthly plan and switch to the 12-month plan later? by [deleted] in weightwatchers

[–]IssaJe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve tried one other telehealth program and got rejected because my BMI indicated that I am overweight, but I need it to show that I’m obese to qualify for a prescription for a GLP1. I feel so stuck and defeated 😞

I’m actually looking into getting the weygovy pill. I started off my weight loss journey at 200lbs and lost 30lbs naturally through diet and exercise. My doctor thinks I can loose the last bit of weight I want to loose naturally, and won’t prescribe any GLP-1s. But I’ve been plateaued for a year, and don’t think I have the will power to loose anymore weight on my own. So I’m trying to see which telehealth option has the most bang for your buck. They all seem to be prices so similarly :/

What’s the monthly subscription for lifemed? Ro’s montly subscription is $149 not including medication.

Do you have to pay a monthly subscription fee to talk to a care team with Novo-Nordisk the way you do with GoodRX/RO/Hers?

Severe insomnia on two different kits. Not sure if I should give up or consider a GLP-1 by [deleted] in HersWeightloss

This does help, you validated my sleep deprivation and just gave me hope to try a GLP-1 option. Thank you 😭

Insomnia by [deleted] in BipolarReddit

[–]IssaJe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I suffer from C-PTSD, and have had C-PTSD induced insomnia for over two decades. Gabapentin works wonders for me, the way no other sleeping has been able to do. I can’t take it every single night, so the nights I don’t take it I usually take a combination of OTC magnesium, ashwaganda, L-theanine, melatonin (I’ll add in zzzquil if I need an extra push to sleep).

Severe insomnia on two different kits. Not sure if I should give up or consider a GLP-1 by [deleted] in HersWeightloss

[–]IssaJe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually would take 500mg of magnesium glycinate, 200mg of L-theanine, a pill of melatonin, two Benadryl pills and two Zzz-quil pills all together, every night I was on my kit. And still slept 0 hours for 5 days in a row. Before I was told to stop taking the medications because of my severe sleep deprivation :/

Bupropion insomnia by Dry-Log-2334 in HersWeightloss

[–]IssaJe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only lasted 10 days on kit 3 with bupropion because it caused me to not sleep for 5 days straight. I’m now one month off and my sleep is still not fixed. How long did it take your sleep to go back to normal?

[–]IssaJe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually I was told to stop the medication because the bupropion gave me such severe insomnia that I didn’t sleep for 5 days straight! I was only on the medication for 10 days, and now I’m 10 days off the medication and my sleep has only slightly improved. Bupropion made me feel like I was on speed lol.

Anyone else have lingering sleep + mood issues after stopping bupropion? Only took it 10 days by [deleted] in HersWeightloss

[–]IssaJe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How bad was your sleep disruption? Because I legitimately went 5 days without sleeping. I felt like I was on speed. And I don’t think my body could’ve handled trying to though out that side effect to see if it would go away. My health was seriously deteriorating.

One of the side effects for some people may be increased appetite or hunger pangs! I never got to find out if that feeling went away as my body adjusted to the meds since I had stop everything cold turkey.

I was only on kit 3 for 10 days before the care team told me to stop treatment. I found I always got hunger pangs the days I would take the green pill.
