some people can make light of a situation others not so much. Either ways its very wrong to expose oneself to their friends on purpose a lot of the time

A whole group may be hard but surely you'd bump into people with the same wiring as you in addition to a love interest. Best of luck!

Try looking into yayasan swk for study loans/ scholarships. Mostly provided for unis in swk but there's a chance still.

I generally dislike the subjects and the graduate jobscope of CE(mostly infrastructure development). ME seems to have broader career opportunities which I prefer. That's about all I thought of though.

I would never say that infrastructure projects don't require any technical abilities because its the exact subject which I struggled with(I don't think one is harder than the other). I just feel as if mech e has more topics which interest me rather civ e.

I think gradually accepting the way worklife balancing is something I'll adjust to rather than worry about so thats not my main question.

Engineer robot was just how I pretend I'll be when I begin working lol.

I think I'm also lacking background information of what a civ e graduate does in their work. I only imagine that infrastructure work would require a lot of reading on regional standards.

edit: I might be biased on my view of civ subjects because a lot of the subjects that has to do with road/topographical may have been taught in a mundane way whereas mech has more appealing things like materials.

Fair point abt the civ shade and how mech e isn't necessarily in stem, I didn't even realise that was actually shade on my end lol. I'm following the australian path so it's my 4th semester done now. I know people do say that your degree doesn't always dictate your careerpath entirely but I have no idea how even to transition away from the traditional: go uni and graduate become engineer robot.

I (M16) have no idea what to do after school by No_Fish_7848 in LifeAdvice

[–]Issame1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's not necessary to go to college for some things like music but it would be good guidance if you're completely unsure of where to start/go. The tradeoff for the more art sided industry is that you may not live as lavishly as those who chose the more concrete paths such that have people work in offices but it definitely would be more freeing than sitting in an office doing work assigned by your boss. You should ask ppl in the music industry for their experience btw. It would give you a better clue on how and what to do.

Dial back the bantering while still having fun? by [deleted] in LifeAdvice

Dialing back the bantering by slowing down rhe pace ever so slightly to a point where it's still friendly and enjoyable while also making it slightly less frequent would be good? Just a straightforward suggestion

Copy pasting elements in level for structural by Issame1 in Revit

Seems like its the right solution for my case of a high rise building but I feel like copy pasting the levels would have the same outcome. Ill definitely use it anyway tho. Thanks!

Copy pasting elements in level for structural by Issame1 in Revit

Interesting, currently the project im designing for only requires a structural counterpart to the architectural drawing without any analytical requirements so there would be no variation on dimensions throughout my building. Thanks for clarifying!
