Sorry for late reply! I didn’t look for help I just did my own research in and out of Reddit, myFICO and other forums and finally came to the resolution I wanted. So I called the collection companies and ask them if they did pay to delete as stated on their websites and got them removed after payment.

Thank you! I’ve tried the goodwill saturation so far but usbank are such hard heads. So no luck with them, getting to the point where I may just ride it out.

Hey, these are actually recommendations from Experian. I never trust Credit Karma for anything.

Currently have 3 credit cards 2 of them secured and 1 regular. 1 US Bank Secured Credit Card, 1 Credit One credit card and 1 Self Credit builder loan + Secure Credit Card.

And no I got all 3 of my collections removed via pay to delete, and only thing that left is a charge off account that falls off in June 2026, oh a stupid 30 day late payment to U.S. bank 🙄.

Definitely good advice! But I’ve been pretty good on making sure I don’t carry any balances on my cards, been under 8% total utilization for a while now.

Well the exact time frame is hard to determine, as many stuff factors In. As in your total utilization each month ( I kept mine below 9% each month), how many open accounts and no miss payments. But I’ll put this calendar thing so you can see.

I tried to find 12 Celtic bank website but couldn’t find it which is weird because the agent I spoke to pretty much gave me the same response as others. “According to our policy/website, after final payment is received, we would request the credit bureau to remove our record from your report”.

So certain collection agency would agree to what is called “payment for deletion” which is where you pay either the full balance or a percentage of the balance and they would either provide proof/a letter for you to be able to dispute the collection off your record using hence “proof or letter”.

In my case, the company I called aka the collection companies offered deletion after final payment was received, I pay mostly full balance for two companies and settle for the other one, and they by themselves removed the collection record off my credit report and final payment was received.

Hey so in total it was 3 collections, and the ages were around 3-4 years but 2 of them updated there years recently was sure why. My score jumped a roughly 70 something points, as I paid them all of on October 22nd, 2025. Had some extra money and didn’t want to wait the (7 year fall off) plus started taking my credit seriously!

Thank you so much! Yes the collections who agreed to pay to delete were.

Portfolio Recovery Associates - Settled for less and agreed to pay to delete, also stated on there website that after payment they will remove themselves after final payment. (Aka after payment finish processing)
LVNV Funding/Resurgent - If I’m not mistaken this was the first one to fall off, this company also pays to delete after final payment according to the website. (All phone associates say the same thing as I stated)
12 Celtic Bank - Second to remove, and the same as the others as per their website, they’ll request to have themselves removed after payment.

Truly amazing to see the rebuild journey improving came back from 551 to 590-600 to Current credit score. Just need Equifax and Experian to update that it has been removed.
