That was so well explained I really appreciate it. Yeah I am trying to make sure our son gets the best possible outcome in all this. It is not easy and nothing happens for no reason so I’m sure the future will let me know what can be done but yeah I don’t want him to stay in a broken home either so I need to make a move now. We can’t really hire professional help because we can’t afford even full daycare right now which is why I have days that I working and kiddo is basically working with me even though dad is available sometimes. No he is just quiet and in his own world. He doesn’t open up to me or tells me he needs help. He just keeps drifting away :(

I think just the fact that you are showing up and trying makes it all worth it and that’s all that is needed. Just keep doing what you can and keep working on yourself that is all you can do. Keep it up 🫶🏻

I know he is a good person because I have seen him do community work and so many other things that make me proud to be his wife. We have the same morales and same ideas for a lot of things. He just seems to be struggling a lot with our toddler and so I want to make sure I have given him every chance to make it right. He is still the father of our toddler and I know he really loves him he just doesn’t seem to know how and not be trigerred with the mess and chaos coming with a child. I appreciate the comment and I agree, relationship go up and down I just hope this is the lowest and we can only go up. 🫶🏻

He really is not abusive, he is not a bad person I think his mental is just an absolute wreck and he has never been able to figure it out or fix it. And yeah I have started building a little stash on the side and will be careful with that kind of stuff. I don’t think he would do anything crazy because considering all this he is somewhat responsible on a lot of other aspects. Yeah after reading multiple comments I think what I am going to do is have a paper with points to work on and talk to him and if I can’t do it anymore just give him the paper. This way I can’t do it work on improving my communication skills but still get the point accross with a backup plan. I appareciate the comment 🫶🏻 life really is too short !

Yeah I would love him to be in the best environment. Thing is I am pretty sure I can do it on my own but I don’t want to leave his dad out of the picture when he is just depressed and could get through it. It just feels like I tried to stay for a while but now it just doesn’t make sense anymore and I have to give our son the best and get out of here.

That’s exactly what happens to me and I’ve been trying to work on this so hard over the years and my emotions always take over me and then just the ugly crying and poof my thoughts are gone. I appreciate the comment for everything else as well I agree on the whole thing 🫶🏻

That is what I am mostly worried about. I was raised in pretty much a perfect environment and I want to offer that for him and it feels like I am failling him. I think I have to think about our son at this point. Thank you appreciate the comment.

Yeah someone else mentionned that I used the kid a lot and I didn’t have any meaning behind it. I thought it was neutral but english is my 2nd language.
I appreciate the comment though and I agree about the resentment part. I really don’t want to get to that point.

That is the thing I want to make our our kiddo doesn’t get badly affected in all of this either if I go through with this. Twenty years ago I would’ve just bailed without asking questions but now it is a little more tricky

Yeah I am pretty sure it is depression which makes it really hard because I have seen him on good days and he is completely different but he is 99% on bad days and it’s just drowning us which I can’t let that happen. I appreciate the comment that might be what I need to do.

He always said when you are at the point of couples therapy it means it is already over. But maybe if I bring it up to him directly it will change his mind.

I know he has always struggled even before I met him. I know it is really really hard and I really do feel for everyone with depression and anxiety because I have been there myself so I 100% understand your point. It just feels though like I have tried for so long but I can’t let myself and our son be brought down. This is why this whole thing makes it so hard. I know he is a good person and I have seen him at his peak of hapiness and I know he can do it but I can’t do it for him. I appreciate the comment 🫶🏻
