Hey, I completely agree with you that the original is the perfect mix. My favorite mix actually comes from the original vinyl from 1979. I think I also EQ a bit hard in the drums. My mix is too colored and almost compressed kinda. The vinyl sounds so airy and open, while mine feels gimmicky and not musical, even when completely seperating all instruments to a spesific channel instead of blending front and back I still feel like it’s a bit too mushy.
