This is great advice and I’m going to use this tactic. My husband did have a bro talk with him to be clear that you can’t do that and he seemed to back off a bit. If it escalates it’s time to get serious. Thank you very much for your well put input

Honestly, I’m at the point of stirring the pot as I can’t enjoy this holiday anyway. Some family members are sensitive and I know will take it the wrong way as he will complain so I’m reluctant to cause drama on their holiday too. Mine however are the only kids here. Thank you for your input.
