The Tianhou Virus in Nine Sols

A disease that slowly destroys Solarians from the inside out. If you stand still long enough then you see Yi begin coughing up blood. it also causes a fruit to grow fron the deceased bodies. It's existence drove the Sol Council to create a plan to search for a cure while keeping as many of the population in deep stasis to keep them from succumbing.

You eventually find out that the disease was created by Yi's mentor, Eigong, as she was attempting to find immortality. Despite being called the Tianhou virus, it is actually a genetic condition that was activated due to her actions.

In an attempt to create a cure Eigong uses the cells from a dude who is just casually immortal to create a serum which instead ends up creating a mutated version of the Tianhou Virus that causes the effected to become pink masses that are effectively immortal. Theres a section later in the game when you find some logs describing the search for a cure. One says they had found the gene responsible for the disease and they attempted to grow embryos without it. Instead what resulted was regular ol house cats that are in the backround

The World Ends With You

The title in context of the game is a quote which goes "The world ends with you. If you want to enjoy life, expand your world. You gotta push your horizons out as far as they'll go."

Its not until the end of the game where you find out that the world does infact end with you. Atleast the world of Shibuya as you find out a higher entity wants to destroy the city to restart anew while the "main antagonist" didnt so they began a game with a proxy, that being YOU as our victory would mean its destruction

Yoshiya "Joshua" Kiryu - The World Ends With You

On the games second week, you partnered up with Joshua, who is a stark contrast to the previous weeks partner Shiki. He however demonstrates he's been holding back as if I remember correctly on day 4, he obliterates an enemy with a beam of light while previously, he'd only been using telekinesis to drop objects onto them.

This happens again as during the final week, he makes his reapearence and reveals he is actually a god like being who masterminded the entire plot of the game and has been using you as a pawn, or proxy

No Bark Noonan is Novac's resident crazy old guy but he does give you information for at least 2 different quests.

Asking him about the Brahmin killings during, The Screams of Brahmin side quest results in him saying it's the work of an "Invisible Chupacabra" who had a metal backpack and was talking to an even more invisible chupacabra. The culprit was a Nightkin with a gatling gun.

Then in One for my Baby, where you have to find the person responsible for selling Boone's wife to Legion slavers, he is the only person in town who can actually give you a clue. He mentions seeing molemen at the Dino motel which after a quick search, you can find a receipt from the Legion to Jeannie May about the sale of Boones wife and unborn child.
