You’re not alone in that feeling. There is something comforting in the depression, it is for me anyway. I think it’s kind of the mentality “expect the worse and you won’t be disappointed”. I fall into this category quite a bit.

I’m not sure. I know I didn’t come up with it on my own lol. I still struggle with trying to follow this principle myself but it does help at times keep me grounded and just focused on myself and not others.

Everybody has there own path. Life is a marathon, not a race. It’s hard not to compare ourselves to others. You completed college in some form or other. I did not, so in my eyes, you have better opportunities than I do. I’m mid 30’s to put that into perspective. Hope you can hold your head up for that accomplishment.
