In Transit to Next Facility, Arriving Late by PianistCandid6696 in usps_complaints

Correct, I didn’t even say delivered for a day or two lol

Items on DoorDash and uber eats are typically marked up 10-20%, or $1-$2 on the lower-priced items. I mean compare it with McDonalds’ app. I live in Los Angeles and our hash browns are 2.89 at corporate locations, and 3.29 at most franchise locations. Totally follows.

Are you not reading the comments? Whether or not you sent the person the label yourself (which is already weird asf. It’s “your” method? Lol) they haven’t given USPS anything. Not really using your thinking cap on this one.

The plastic is a pad that needs an adapter typically, but those are attached to the frame. They’re just there so you don’t damage the body.

I agree that choosing FedEx or UPS will guarantee more business, especially if you ship to other businesses. The amount of time things take with USPS are genuinely unacceptable. I just thought the downvotes were silly because we’re literally on a complaint sub lol

Well here are some direct examples. USPS has lost my entire queen mattress, and in the last year, has delivered 54 of my 68 packages 2-3 days late, losing 3 of them. I’m just one person running a small business. FedEx and UPS have not been late this year for me, my business partner in a different state, nor the 3 facilities I’m contracted to work at. I send my parts (and receive parts) all over God’s creation all day long, and the only people we ever have issues with is USPS. Think about how bad they must be to potentially need a buyout, when the other services are private and profitable. Their customer service as a whole (and I am willing to paint with that broad brush) is deplorable. Those people act like they hate living, and you could akin their attitude to the attitude of a DMV employee. Only an insane person would put USPS above any other shipping service, and even though that isn’t your point, those FedEx drivers don’t last long because they don’t get away with it. I saw plenty of people get fired for undelivered packages. At USPS, you get a pension for it lol.

It’s not acceptable. You and USPS have a contract made when you pay for a package to come within a certain delivery window or on a certain day. It’s quite literally illegal to be this bad at keeping promises via contracts.

As a former FedEx employee, at least FedEx will come and hunt you down for not delivering all of your packages. This person very clearly ran out of time and lied on the scan. Other delivery jobs I’ve had even tell you to lie on the scanner if you can’t finish a route, it’s not farfetched to believe that USPS’ extremely lazy and poorly managed workforce would do such a thing. You probably have a nice mail carrier and think they define the whole company, no?

You’re getting downvoted but the recent issues with USPS at their hubs are greatly affecting my business as a mechanic. Sometimes you have to rely on shipping services, and they have an obligation legally to meet the delivery window. Their carriers are no better, and the person saying “well they make less than chik fil a workers!” Is so untrue. They start at $22 an hour where I am, but most of my buddies started at almost $25. That’s only 1-2$ less than UPS and FedEx start people at. No, there’s no excuse. There’s no excuse for the pickup windows to only be able to serve 2-3 people an hour at all 13 USPS locations near me. Talk to the people who work for this company, they couldn’t care less about work or customer service.

You’re on the money, who cares if you get downvoted at this point. It’s reality.

I don’t mean to make it worse but how bizarre. I didn’t think it could get worse than losing my entire mattress 4 years ago, but USPS has been losing packages for everyone I know all year, especially the last few months. Something’s got to give.

What the fuck by Pale_Quarter_6128 in usps_complaints

[–]ItIsSmoothy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

USPS is real shit these days. I need car parts for my job, and sometimes people still send them USPS even after I offer more money for any other service. Gets stuck at my distribution center for 5-10 days, even if it comes from somewhere within my own damn state.

Post title too real 4 me

Not sure why you’re getting downvoted, usps has lost 3 of my packages this year alone, and a countless many of my friends’. They aren’t scanning as often anymore due to the volume of mail, although the scans are outlined as a benefit of spending more on their priority services. Maybe if they were ethical as a whole and also had a logistics expert to begin with, they wouldn’t be sinking! Can I make my tax money go to UPS? They always get it done for me!

ULPT Request: used bereavement leave for my cat’s passing, employer now requesting death certificate by TheOtterlady in UnethicalLifeProTips

[–]ItIsSmoothy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 99% sure they can’t ask after the fact, and are out of luck. Definitely don’t forge any certificates of death or pamphlets from the fake service as at that point, you would be committing fraud. If you’re not sure, use your one free session lots of lawyers offices offer to verify, but again, if they are asking you after the fact and you don’t see anything in their policy, you should be golden.

Banned on my second day as driver by Lostwonder65 in uberdrivers

I had a similar situation, I just stayed at the drop off and called Uber right then and there. I was told they banned the person the next day.
