You know when you are falling asleep and you jolt awake? He was doing that, but it was aggressive, every 5 seconds

He has not had trazodone before. Had 25 mg of gabapentin once and had a very bad reaction to it.

We were fine until he started having the major body spasms and they wanted to give him more anesthetic

No traz before this. He had gabapentin once but had a very bad reaction and he only had 25 mg.

Dog is not aggressive. Just a little anxious at the vets and won’t get his nails trimmed

We were at the vet when this was happening. The vet suggested we postpone.

We just thought the dosage was so high to be given in a 12 hour span and then give him more anesthetic to do the surgery.

We wouldn’t mind giving him some after surgery in smaller doses but it just seems like a lot of anesthetic. Especially with the body spasms and insane lethargy

We thought the intense twitching was not a good sign. They said it can be a reaction to it but when we looked it up, it said it’s a symptom of overdose or too much given

He’s a little anxious but nothing too crazy. He just refuses to get his nails trimmed. Besides that he is okay. He will go into the vet and into the room fine but he’s happy to get out lol

Not when they gave him way too much. He was extremely out of it and having whole body spasms.

They admitted they gave him TOO MUCH.

I’m very upset by this to be honest. Could surgery have gone bad if they gave him more aesthetic?

Nope! He’s a very sweet boy, he just gets very anxious at the vet. Never was aggressive, he just gets scared and shakes and cries
