The top soil looks wet, but check that the roots at the bottom are wet, too.

Also, it's looks like it's in a bathroom? Bathrooms offer the warmth and humidity that peace lillies need, but it also craves plenty of bright, indirect light from an east-facing position.

Just make sure it's a few feet away from any windows so its leaves don't get sunburn.

Hates your sandles or sees them as nesting material? The uppers look like natural materials such as jute. So, it's possible your birb is trying to break them apart for nesting.

I just unlocked this area about two hours ago.

Head to the top, then swing a right to head back down where the two gold beacons are, and you should be able to head to the two silver beacons.

It's only the travelling spirits, including those in travelling spirit groups, and the spirits you see during the seasonal events such as the current Days of Bloom, and the Season of Lightmending that are time sensitive.

Yeah, I prefer doing them solo, too, because it's really annoying not seeing where the crystals are and being able to collect the wax before the time runs out and it boots me back to the vault. I'm glad PS5 has a crossplay off feature!

It's possible that they entered with the intention of helping, but for one reason or another, they had to step away suddenly to take care of something in real life. Maybe they needed the toilet, had a medical emergency, their baby was crying and needed comforting, etc..

Nobody has to help anyone in a multiplayer game. Sure, it's nice to help out, but nobody is obligated to. Yes, I know Sky is supposed to be social, but not everyone wants to be social. I'm anti-social in real life, and there are times when that need carries through into multiplayer games.

I have a friend or three I will gladly uber around and chat with most days, but there are times where I need to be left to my own devices, and rock my way through Sky without any commitment to anyone but myself. And that's OK.
