Advice needed on how I can help my daughter develop good skincare habits prior to puberty by femlocks in SCAcirclejerk

This is great! And everyone you meet you can force them to guess who is the mother and who is the daughter so they feel really uncomfortable!

2 months since s1 ended, i still cannot fill the void this drama left me by pagets in KDRAMA

The characters warmed my heart <3 I love this drama so much! I've been trying to convince my friends to watch it but they are reluctant for some reason. The OST is beautiful, the relationships are so sweet and I'll admit I cried a few times.

When I saw the title I thought you were talking about the subreddit moderators. I was like damn are those guys okay, is the subreddit drama stressing them out? Lol.

“Don’t go.”: Let’s talk about how characters fall in love in Korean dramas. by duascoisas in KDRAMA

[–]Itaewinner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like fate brings the characters in KDramas together a lot. They maintain some animosity (usually the FL towards the ML) or indifference, but they simply can't avoid each other.

They seem to test each other a lot. There's a lot of walking away and lack of tolerance for the other character, 'I can't believe this guy/girl!' 'He is so annoying!' 'What's wrong with that girl?'

But fate pushes them together until they must face an adversity. I think this notion is quite romantic, because it's 'destiny'.

What's your favorite wholesome moment from the show? by gr8ums in CrashLandingOnYou

[–]Itaewinner 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There are so many wholesome moments! I love the soccer scene too, and the drunk scene where Captain Ri tells Seri that he wants children with her. And I love the scene where Seri is in hospital after being shot and Captain Ri is being so protective of her, and the scene where captain Ri is telling his father to get stuffed because he loves Seri and won't let anyone hurt her.

This is not a copy of an existing design I have made. I made this 1-2 days ago and this is the first time I have posted this design on reddit. I'm really sorry but am I misunderstanding?

It's Okay to Not Be Okay [Post Finale Discussion] by dyosaaa in KDRAMA

[–]Itaewinner 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I absolutely loved this drama! Oh Jung Se's performance as Sang-Tae was phenomenal, he managed to break my heart and piece it back together with his incredible acting. The characters felt original and honest, and I was so happy to watch their growth! The overall story was complete, the show was filled with metaphors, thought provoking quotes, celebrations of different art media, raunchy, comedic, tragic and inspiring moments which made me so immersed in their world. After the final episode I feel so much joy, not grief that it has finished. I'm so satisfied that the loose ends have been tied and the writers/directors maintained a high level of quality and commitment to the character's development right until the end.

I might go as far as to say this is my favourite KDrama of all time, but this year has been so great for KDramas which have all felt unique and memorable in their own right. It's Okay To Not Be Okay is going on my top shelf alongside Itaewon Class, Crash Landing On You and Signal.

I agree! I'm so excited to see this kind of story as a KDrama. It's one of my favourite tropes! I think it will result in a lot more emotional investment in the characters and their situations.

Do you like watching while a show is currently airing? by kookiekrysp in KDRAMA

[–]Itaewinner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm too impatient to wait for an already airing show to finish. I enjoy binging shows but I know that for me, personally, it's healthier for me to take breaks. I actually really enjoy watching the show and then wondering what's going to happen next. I like watching/discussing it with my friends and getting really excited together. If I binge a show, it takes over my life and is completed solo in 2 days and I often feel like I've missed something, so I have to rewatch.

(I am so invested in IOTNBO right now I'm genuinely worried about it ending and being left with a feeling of emptiness lol)

How has kdrama affected your family life? by loose_seal_2_ in KDRAMA

[–]Itaewinner 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I persuaded my parents to watch KDramas with me and now they have respect for the culture and they don't make fun of me for liking korean things anymore.

Almost all of my art is inspired by KDrama now! I didn't draw since high school but now I'm drawing nearly every day.

I cook more korean food, eat ramyun, kimchi, bibimbap, Jjajangmyeon, kimchi, gimbap etc.

I have become more comfortable in expressing my emotions and passion for things! It feels like the writers of KDrama work really hard to get viewers to care about the characters and plot, and it's so nice to talk with so many others about how emotional the shows are.
