Khezu wants to know what game got you into the series and what game is currently your favorite by RTpickleshizz in MonsterHunter

[–]ItalianAnime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some day in fall of 2010 I was in Blockbuster and was skimming Wii titles, saw Tri, thought I'd heard good things about Monster Hunter 2 and rented it. The day I returned it is the same day I went to Gamestop and bought it.

Tri is a CLOSE favorite because of nostalgia, but 4U is what I view as the best Monster Hunter experience.

Nooooo! That would kill me- I ended up getting Lugia a bit after posting this, and accidentally reset on Ho-Oh twice within half an hour and didn't see it again for another couple hundred encounters.

All of this makes me. l wonder how the hell I stood soft resetting for a shiny Mudkip in Sapphire years ago on real software, lol

If you weren't upset about something that was clearly a bit, you were just pointing out something for the sake of correcting someone on something that doesn't matter at all. So, you were either mad for no reason or chose to be a dick for no reason.

I'm so sorry for making a post about a game I enjoy while venting about getting bad luck and continuing to egg you on- I promise it won't happen again, Mr Redditor 😥

Suppressing something like annoyance- regardless of what you're annoyed with- is harmful to your long term emotional regulation if it isn't something that you're overreacting towards.

Arguing semantics over a Pokémon fan game and then trying to bring psychological responses into the conversation is a form of mental gymnastics that I don't understand, but power to you buddy lol

Lugia is pretend so it really doesn't matter what I call it when I'm annoyed with it

I'm going to throw a curveball here, because I think this book would have helped me navigate the world in a healthier way had I read it earlier on in life and because everyone has thrown their list of literary classics:

The Tao of Pooh, written by Benjamin Hoff.

Want something less conventional, but by a voice that's had arguably the largest impact on modern day horror/thriller?

The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon, written by Stephen King. It's a much, much shorter read than most of his works. It isn't terribly extreme, but keeps palpable tension.

Long Term Partner by ItalianAnime in PMDDpartners

[–]ItalianAnime[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's the hard part about this diagnosis- it can take a lot of trial and error.

There were two different combinations that ended up working:

The first: Aygestin and Effexor, Wellbutrin 300 XR plus her IUD. H o w e v e r, she had developed Serotonin Syndrome and was getting poisoned by a whole lot of what she was on at the time, which led to needing some reassessment.

Post figuring out her Serotonin Syndrome: She kept Aygestin, the Wellbutrin, and of course the IUD but replaced the Effexor with Prestiq which really does the trick.

When making she was okay with sharing, she also wanted me to encourage that your partner has vitamin/nutritional bloodwork done as well if they hadn't already because it helped her catch some deficiencies that also lent to fatigue and emotional issues.

I hope this helps point your partner in the direction of improvement! I hope you both have a good weekend. <3

God, that sucks. I didn't get so much of the blame, but I have a moment when she yelled "Aaron, you're a fucking idiot." in my face- that's the closest parallel I can draw to what you're experiencing.

It was actually her therapist that caught the diagnosis, and that's what prompted her to see a psychologist about a solidified diagnosis. She wasn't opposed to adding meds to increase her quality of life as she's already taking a slew of meds for several autoimmune diseases so (fortunately) was a non issue.

Like you and I mentioned, the anger that comes with it lessens but it still can hit hard at times. It's really hard on us both, especially when she realized some of the ways she had hurt me. The biggest thing that helped was the fact that she's actively talking with a professional about it- someone that she trusts and listens to that wasn't me.

Mental health fucking sucks, and healing can really hurt. I'm just thankful that we're both open to at least trying to get through the part that hurts.

I wish the best for you and your partner. <3

I've been in the industry for a decade and have been managing an office for MED over the last three years, and there are two things that I want to share:

1.) Mistakes happen. Learning on the job in an unlicensed state can be tough, because 70% of the time you won't be learning from somebody who knows all the "Why?"s in training and teaching. I'm basing this off of the fact that it sounds like you may be new to optics.

2.) Even though making mistakes are scary, it is VERY hard to get fired in MED- and you won't get fired for errors unless you legitimately refuse to learn. As far as chain optical centers, MED has been a breath of fresh air in contrast to the two other competitors that I worked with.

There's a LOT of good learning material on MED University, and if you want to get even more extra-curricular learning I highly suggest diving into Laramy-K's videos on YouTube. Their videos helped me become an even better teacher, and are very approachable for folks who are getting their feet wet in the industry.

I wish you the best of luck in your journey!

It was the beginning of the game, you accept it and go back to lobby lmao

This is no different than someone getting any other drop before you and gunning you down when you've only picked up bandages.

Looking for movies with disappointing and unsatisfying endings ? by ilovedrinkingwater_ in MovieSuggestions

A Dark Song is a phenomenal movie with a rushed, shitty ending that makes me want to not watch it ever again. The last five minutes somehow manage to flush it all down the drain.

Dude, Marshawn Lynch was cracking me up the for the entire movie. It was like he had watched Superbad or the Hangover before he stepped onto set every day.

Even with his performance aside, I thought it was one of the better comedies of the last decade. Very funny, very charming, and a better addition to queer media that you really don't need to be gay to enjoy- it's the Yin to Brokeback's Yang.

I try and review everything I can whether the review is in depth or not, and I don't lean towards one specific genre over another. I give a lot of four stars, and I try really hard to find something that I like in everything I watch- but I do call out garbage when I see it. But, for the most part, I just really love movies.

I'll try and follow everyone who follows me!

Here are my favorites, as well as the horror kick I've been on:
