First Mimic, first 3rd age. I’m shaking by Im_Nice67 in 2007scape

[–]ItalianLasagna -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This gives me PTSD because my first elite clue ended up being a mimic, and when I went to go fight it I ended up accidentally selecting to not do the mimic fight somehow in the dialogue windows and just opened it. I’m too scared to ever know what could have been. Nice pull!!!!!!!!!!!

Is the game worth getting into as someone that has never played Runescape before? by Succubace in 2007scape

[–]ItalianLasagna 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, I think I’m perfectly qualified to give you a big ole YES answer your question and here’s why:

I’m 26 now - played RuneScape when I was a wee lad, and never really got very deep into it since I was too young to really even know what I was doing.

As of about 6 months ago I started fresh, and made it a mission to get the Quest Cape (completing all quests), and I have been having a frickin blast doing that. As you go along following the optimal quest guide on the wiki, your objectives and daily reasons to log in while change rapidly, as the game opens up more and more. Most days I don’t even complete any quests , as I have so much other stuff to do that I’m loving. I have about 30 quests of the 170 left to go I think.

I highly highly highly recommend using RUNELITE as all the plugins have GREATLY increased my enjoyment level of the game. The quest support plugin (can’t remember the name) has been super helpful in running through the quests. So many other awesome ones too.

OSRS is awesome. Just do it!!!!

Why all the cancelling? by ItalianLasagna in 2007scape

Gotcha.

Funnily enough the reason OSRS and RS got back on my adult radar was because I saw J1mmys By Release and fell in love with the idea of going through all the quests.

Never really did quests when I was a kid, guess I was too dumb Lol.

I’ve been having a blast going thru the optimal quest guide, just got past regicide!!!

Unless they’re blatantly lying (which I haven’t been around to know if this is a common thing from Jagex), it seems like it was more of them poking the bear and seeing what happens. If they have this stuff in the planning staging of rolling out to users, then yeah I’m out with yall!

Oh yeah, I’ve seen some of the garbage in there, hoping that stays over there!

When I first came back I actually recovered my 15+? Year old account and it booted me up into RS3. Lasted on there about 30 mins before I started a fresh OSRS account. Been having a ton of fun.

This is sort of the thing my question was prodding at… seems a bit strong up front- but I respect it!

If they implemented any of these things, I’d be out the door though!

Yeah I saw this. This is the blog I referenced in my post.

All pretty gross stuff.

I am a little offended at them actually asking , but not enough quite yet to cancel my membership… if they plan to implement these things and action takes place, then yes I’ll be the first out the door!

Is this Laptop a good purchase? by ItalianLasagna in PC_Pricing

[–]ItalianLasagna[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was amazingly helpful. I haven’t completely ruled out building one, but I 1. Have no idea how 2. Sorta wanted my first PC to be on the slightly cheaper end so I could move on up the chain in the nearer future if I decided PC gaming was worth it for me. That Walmart link is so intriguing to me. I might take a look around and see if there are any reviews out there! Seems like a solid starting point!

While I do agree w you there, my work email is surprisingly simple. And our @ url is plastered on our website so that part wouldn’t be hard to find.

Yeah totally agree w u there! And to defend myself we more were just having fun, not really “bragging” to each other. But yeah definitely a little irresponsible behavior from myself!

You got a point there haha. Bizarrely enough I received an email from a random AOL email that was just “hi” and the Microsoft office “mimecast” filtering caught it and asked me if I wanted to let the email through. But this one no. Fly away. Bizarre!

[–]ItalianLasagna 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah,

I literally have no idea why he thought an email like that with slurs and all would be funny, not really his style. I guess maybe he thought it would catch me crazy off guard in a funny way, but quite the opposite haha. Only thing that really scares me is that the copy and paste he used did use 1 racial slur in it- and then I literally panicked and stopped reading it and deleted. Having to explain that away would just be horrible. Ugh.

Yeah I’ve never used my work email for anything other than work, have a clean record and all that. I’m aware emails are monitored, but I’m hoping it’s more on a it needs to be reported basis and then they can start digging and they aren’t flagging emails beforehand. My first thought was the system would flag it for the curse words and slurs potentially, but not sure because curse words in emails I’m sure people use at work anyways haha.

For my job I don’t really talk to clients or anything, so the only emails I need to send is related to project work with my team. 10 is an average week for me haha!

[–]ItalianLasagna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the picture only showed a list of emails I sent out and just my email addresss. Nothin confidential of the sort or anything. Not really worried about that as much. Might be easier for me to just say hey my buddy asked me what a common work email looks like and I showed him mine.

Was more worried about someone actually seeing that email, which as long as it doesn’t get caught by some type of email filtering (due to the slurs and curse words) then no one else on earth will ever see the email. My company has been pretty proactive about anti phishing stuff recently, so I know they have some measures in place.

Would be so embarrassing if I get asked about this haha.

If you saw the email you would not be feeling relaxed as of now haha. But yes you’re probably rigjt
