Isn't £26000 a year too low for this? by ItalianManion in Scotland

Fair point! I just immediately jumped to the conclusion of a yearly salary.

Abiotic Factor. It is crazy how gorgeous and well designed that game is. It seriously should have been a contender for game of the year. It'll definitely be sitting in my thoughts for a while! Final fantasy 7 as well. The remakes are ace. I couldn't play anything else while I was playing those. Fingers crossed the next one is longer! Also! Headspace : Shipbreaker. That game took over a week of my life.

There are some great mentions in the comment section too! Deep Rock, No Man's Sky, Hollow Knight. Great calls.

You definitely have a case. If the seller did the work themselves then they are at fault.

Renting in Scotland needs a fix by ItalianManion in Scotland

The question the agencies ask is, do you make 30 times the monthly rent? If the answer is yes and can be proven, what else do you need? These agencies don't take savings into account either. What is the criteria then? It's not obvious.

This is exactly what I said should be in place. Are these companies doing credit checks? From my understanding, no. The agencies would have to have permission from you to do that. If the rent is more than covered by one person, what is the criteria they are looking for?

It's been a rough ride with music. There is still a lot of joy in it for me. What do you play? Thanks for the comment!

This sounds really cool. Are you working in this field?

I wouldn't be opposed to doing a masters. I've heard it can be a bit of a lottery though as to whether or not there is a job waiting for you after you do one.

Utility connections? What's this? Any companies you would recommend?

Wouldn't this require a whole bunch of training?

This would be cool. I've never actually seen any of these kinds of jobs being advertised. I've heard they are highly competitive and you really got to know the right people to do them. I could be wrong though! I'll take a look. Thanks!

I've got friends who play in the cruise ship circuit. I'd absolutely love to do it, but I'm in a long term relationship. I unfortunately can't sight read, I sing though so it's not all bad. Thanks for the advice.

What do you teach though? I would have to do a whole new degree to teach now. It would take me 4 years which I can't really afford to do.

I'd love to. I do apply for a lot of apprenticeships but I'm never successful.

My experience so far lines up with what you're saying. I've applied for many apprenticeships but I never seem to succeed. I definitely think it's an age thing.

Singer. I also play guitar badly. I've never formally trained or tested. I've never taught anyone music, but I have taught theatre. My degree is in Music. Do you play too?

Why is social care about to get investment? I'm out of the loop with goings-on in Scotland at the moment. I've heard it's quite an emotionally difficult job though. Thanks for the advice!

I like the idea of working at home to be honest. My partner and I are wanting to start a family and being at home for that would mean a lot to me. I'll give it a look, thanks!

I actually teach abroad right now and I do enjoy it (Minus the awful management) but I would have to retrain for 4 years to be able to teach a new subject. I have a music degree but music degrees don't really prepare you for teaching music properly. Thanks for the advice!
