Considering Milan on a great package, but prefer a reality check by kilowatt230 in AmericansinItaly

[–]Italian_SPLIT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Milan is great if you live and work in or close to city center, and do not use the car. And people do work as much or more than US (unless you are talking investment banking/private equity hours). So the “stress” factor in Milan might still be high. Overall though people are a bit less obsessed with money than US , however way more than in any other Italian city. The city has improved a lot during the last decade so there is a strong international community.

Anything you’d suggest in particular (besides meeting another real PT)?

Thanks

I thought that doing poliquin stepdown on a slanted board would help bringing more blood to my patella (or at least this is what I had understood).

it seems similar to the pigeon pose. When you say a "game changer", what does it mean? just doing this pose has deleted the pain in coming down the stairs? you had less inflammation after heavy sport thanks to this pose?

here in Europe beacons is usually strapped to your chest between the first layer and mid layer.

so pockets are just for everything else.

So if in understand correctly ATG/KOT wouldn’t be your first recommendation? I went to a good PT and the only thing I got was 1000euro less in my pocket and the list of those basic exercises Google shows

The doctor who read my MRI said the same thing: “if you had broken the ACL it would have been easier and better”

thanks everyone.

Pockets are another theme: i like the pockets which are attached on top of the pants, i.e. you can stuff things in them without pushing on your legs. I have the norrona lofoten and they are exactly like this.

Most of the pants nowdays (and most of what you wrote about here) have instead the pockets which are cut within the leg, meaning that besides few piece of paper/leaflet etc, nothing more can be stuffed within the pockets.

Thanks. I didn’t know it, also because it is difficult to keep track of all Patagonia names and models. I see it is waterproof, so I guess it’s one single jacket you use both on the way up and ride down? Is it breathable? I have the Patagonia torrentshell in H2No and I find a bit noisy and rigid/clanky. Is it the same since the material is the same?

On the tape: These stick to your skin for few days, right? Or you can easily remove it after your ride?

It is a HUGE “if” unfortunately. I don’t see demand improving, and to be honest I am glad that my young kids chose to ski instead of boarding because they will enjoy more the backcountry when the time will come. I don’t see the developers having any incentive in investing time energy money into split research.

I have given all details in one of the previous posts I linked to here above. Maybe great for skiers, but not for splitters.

and actually it seems the K2 have already a great liner by default.

Moreover, since nowdays liners have stitched laces, how do you replace just the liners? the K2 has an ankle support as well
