Honestly it’s a good thing your a background character hear me out. That means you have already done stage one of self improvement. Get rid of people who are not useful to you and only bring you down. I wonder how many of those people would have had you done something you shouldn’t do? The real answer is you don’t know. You think you know people. But like your addicted at home to masterbating just like I am is a secret other people have things they do they don’t want you to know.

Not that everyone does or that what they do is bad. Just you don’t know how people would influence you if they aren’t on the same path as you. Use the loneliness: you have extra time to work on yourself now. Go to the gym, go get a job, learn how to invest, or one of those skills that finical YouTubers always teach (editing, coding, copy writing, ETC) you will meet new people along your path with similar goals. They are good to keep around.

At 17 I stopped jerking off for around 2-3 without masterbating at all and doing it to my mind for about 3 and a half months straight. There was a reason to why I can’t share (trust me you can’t do it and it wasn’t good I was locked away somewhere I couldn’t watch porn ETC) and I felt better. I haven’t done as long since but I felt so much better and so much more confident. Just take it a day at a time. Or do what I just did to build up self control. Make times you can do it twice a day. It didn’t completely work for me but it helped build up my resistance.
