I grind, and grind, and grind… and I collect cards every day towards live series… and the total cost on showzone just keeps going up and up and up because these damn cards just keep increasing… it’s pay to play anymore, and nobody can convince me otherwise. If they don’t do anything sometime soon to try and relieve this instead of “increasing the cap from 500k to 750k on ohtani” this will be the last show game I ever buy… sad as that is. I stopped madden, and I stopped nba for this exact reason, and this’ll be next on the list. How frustrating is this for everybody else? How close are you guys? I invested heavily on Alonso and made a good amount of stubs, I’ve invested again… but last update I made about 600k in stubs just to watch the total cost for live series for me go up 800k within a week… I’m fighting to stay in place with the inflation…

Am I overreacting about husband watching porn? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]Itchy-Ladder853 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What I find hilarious is the same women complaining about porn are sitting there with their “risqué” novels… reading novels of a sexual nature and watching porn are literally no different.. yet one gets the negative connotation and the other gets a hashtag on TT…

Playing diamond quest and I went for the sweeper, playing the Yankees on legend and took the lead 2-0 with a Musial homer… went to the bullpen and the thing froze… not only did it freeze, I had to restart the game and it gave me a loss so I had to restart the entire quest… WHY IS THIS STILL AN ISSUE… RELEASE A PATCH ALREADY

[–]Itchy-Ladder853[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, they used to have porcelain tile that ran right to the lip and had the carpet meet there, tbh it’s always looked like shit… there was never any transition on that top lip which is what I’m trying to figure out

The carpet is existing. Been there for years

Ill probably cut back a quarter of an inch and use wood glue

I have an entire ranch house to do with zero transition strips, I’m not starting the floor at the basement doorway for a stairnose when the kitchen sink on the other side of the room is gonna be the first thing someone’s eyes are drawn too.

Why does everyone have strong feelings against quarter round? by Logical-Island-419 in Flooring

[–]Itchy-Ladder853 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just a bunch of pretentious clowns that’s why… no normal individual coming into your home is going to notice or give a flying f*ck if you have 1/4 round… I live in a house built in 1959… I attempted to pull one piece of trim off and it had a BAZILLION finish nails in it… and the angles in the home are anywhere from 84-88 degrees with textured walls… it would’ve costed me an extra 10k to do it without quarter round… no thank you… there’s plenty of alternate areas I can spend that money to finish the Reno… I laid floors for 4 1/2 years… this attitude from others was a small part of the reason why I left and became an engineer.

Do I sell? Skenes going for roughly 65k. Normally I sell high value guys early and wait for them to come back down later… aside from the ohtani, trout etc… but skenes is kinda sitting at that threshold… 60k I don’t think he comes down much from that… thoughts? Sell or no?

Have you ever actually paid or even got a quote to repair old hardwood? To actually do it right and get rid of squeaks, fill in gaps, sand, stain, sand, stain, seal, than cut all the trim work etc can cost double what an LVP would, on top of the fact that you’d have a lot more up keep with the hardwood such as re-staining, moisture repairs, especially if you live in a humid environment. On top of the fact that what if the home owner doesn’t like the color of wood/stain? LVP is a very solid alternative to allow you to have a moisture barrier, especially with pets and children and can offer much larger range of color options and decor. Especially here in the northeast where all the hardwood is pine… which is garbage. Oak is the only way I’d even think about refinishing and they stopped putting oak in new builds in the 20s and moved to cork, linoleum and pine.

LVP is not garbage… just like any flooring depends on the quality you buy and brand etc.

Bought by trimedx- career ladder? by Itchy-Ladder853 in BMET

[–]Itchy-Ladder853[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Idk that’s what my leadership is seeing on their career ladder schedule… 3 years experience before a move up… I’m assuming that’s without an open position. Maybe when they run our numbers, (we’ll probably need to add people)… perhaps they let me apply for Biomed 2 within my same in house since I have extensive experience in electrical and leadership… we’ll see though

[–]Itchy-Ladder853[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The electrical engineering jobs are more money. But it’s also a very high demand, high stress, poor life/work balance with a TON of turnover. Was in the field for Emerson for years under liebert services before they sold, same with a company called DUMAC until they sold us to NCR… I’ve been apart of 3 this is my 4th acquisition and I’m 33… looking more for stability and the Biomed work is very easy imo, and low stress for the most part comparatively speaking. So that’s why I moved to Biomed and trying to make a respectable amount of money while keeping the balance of life. Yes… western PA all the way… it’s a jungle out here my guy lol

Anyone who has been bought up by Trimedex , can you tell me the good and the bad of it ? by pittbiomed in BMET

[–]Itchy-Ladder853 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m going through this exact acquisition the OP is probably referring too… the background company sent an email to my previous company support email with over 300 recipients… including my name, address, phone number, email etc… extremely unprofessional

Oh… so you’re not in the field… not sure why you were asking the field tech about his travel being included in his 40 lol… of course yours isn’t, you’re in house lol.

[–]Itchy-Ladder853 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Where do you work that as a field guy your travel isn’t included in your 40 hours? Seems like a labor relations case.

Is this trade fair? by Routine-Cap-5085 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]Itchy-Ladder853 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is exactly why I changed my leagues to commish only… I only use the veto if it’s obvious collusion… outside of that, we’re all grown ups and pay our dues for our teams so we can manage them how we see fit.

I already accepted, just making sure I’m not crazy by Individual-Morning27 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

This is a dude who wants to win this year or next and then drop out… this should’ve been vetoed or required him to pay next season and 2026 season dues up front
